Actually I just wanted one competitive deck. I came across the deck we were one and got help with mine. Usually I'm medium, and don't usually care for infinite combos. Also, sorry I didn't see this notification. Couple questions. Are you trying to stick to any kind of budget? Are you trying to make this any kind of competitive? Consistent? Are you table top with friends or just play when you can? Anything I should know with how you want this deck to be?

Mostly playing with friends. Not super competitive. I like to take odd or bad generals and make them good/fun. It is pretty consistent that i can win before turn 8 though, earliest is turn 4 usually. Budget is a bit of an issue, honestly, my actual deck won't have chrome mox, mox diamond or mana vault in it for some time. But they will eventually. As in the description, its about drawing and doing fun stuff off of that. The biggest thing is just to trim the deck and add anything it might need. It feels pseudo-storm right now, because the main goal is to cast lost of cheap, efficient cantrips and kill with any one of my main wincons listed above.

Gamble, Mystical Tutor, and Gifts Ungiven might help. I think you might have a bit too many counter spells. Nice deck though!

i like the idea of gamble and mystical, i might try them in there. gifts is banned in commander, and rightfully so. I have thought about wheel effects though, because 1 card can reset my hand to 7.

maddoxmtg - Yea I was going to go storm-type route. These colors, and theme, are not my strong suit so sorry if I can't give you super awesome suggestions.
First of all I'd put in some color ramp. Mana Vault, Mana Crypt, ect are always good, but some color ramp could also benefit you. Maybe Izzet Signet, Izzet Cluestone, and Izzet Keyrune. If you haven't had a problem so far then maybe disregard that.
Something I would absolutely recommend in this deck is Show and Tell and Omniscience. Omniscience is so damn good here for the storm effect it is crazy. Show and Tell is just there to help you get it out faster. If you're going a somewhat storm route then maybe Grapeshot wouldn't be too bad in here.
Since your playing Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir, you should also play Knowledge Pool. Teferi makes your opponent only play spells as a sorcery, Knowledge Pool will exile the card your opponent plays with the trigger still on the stack. Since your opponent can only play as a sorcery the trigger will have to resolve, meaning that your opponent loses that spell. Literately your opponent can no longer play any more spells unless it is there turn, and if an answer is in exile.
I would try to fix your lands a bit. Shivan Reef, City of Brass, Reflecting Pool, and Reliquary Tower. It is always good to make sure you have the colors you need.
One thing I see in this deck is you can't really rely on any hand (once your commander is out). You'll be shuffling them into your deck consistently. So you'll need to find a way to set up your field the way you want before you bring your commander out. So Mystical Tutor is always good. Gamble is another decent tutor. Ring of Three Wishes could be another one. Also maybe more drawn engines of some sort. You're not in black so I'm not sure of any consistent draw engines in blue. Maybe Mind's Eye, Mind Unbound, ect.
As for the storm aspect one thing that could work is Lightning Storm. Once you cast Lightning Storm your commander will trigger, but before the trigger resolves discard all land cards to put counters on it. Then with your new hand discard more land cards to put on it, then cast another spell to refilter your hand for more lands. You need to have everything be an instant (Leyline of Anticipation or Vedalken Orrery) and Omniscience on the battlefield is great too. Wheel effects would be good here to make your hand consistently be seven.
Also, as far as counters go, some of the main ones I would recommend are Force of Will, Pact of Negation, Swan Song and Pyroblast. All low costing (almost zero) and work to protect you for when you go off. Hope these help.

Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir also has a really fun combo with Possibility Storm.

Only reason I don't like the P-storm for this deck is if i cast an instant and hit a counterspell, it's useless. I would then be reserved to casting each spell in response to their spell just in case.

Sweet deal. I see you took some of my advice. By the way something to remember. If you do have Omniscience and Leyline of Anticipation or Vedalken Orrery, you can continuously play cards to trigger your commander. So you play spell one, your commander triggers. Play spell two before that resolves, another trigger goes on the stack, then spell three and another goes on the stack. If you have Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind and/or Psychosis Crawler on the battlefield all the triggers will resolve resulting in you drawing like 30 cards, meaning that you should win the game or be damn close.

One thing to do also, go to advanced search on tapped out and put in your commander's name. Filter the result so the highest scoring EDH deck is the one that comes up first (so "Score" and "Descending"). Look at those decks to see if there are any combos, cards, and whatnot that you may want to use for this deck.
Also if you google a primer for this deck it should show up somewhere. Again it should be able to help you narrow down the combos and cards you'll want to use.

Maybe Eye of the Storm? I'm not quite sure how that would work with Arjun but it might be awesome.

I guess the familiar might be there so you don't self mill but Aquamoeba should probably be switch out for something like Mercurial Geists

Since you are essentially playing a storm deck of sorts I would strongly encourage you to include a High Tide package. With cards like Past in Flames, Archeomancer, (snapcaster and baby jace for non budget brews),Frantic Search, Time Spiral can do some ridiculous things even without Candelabra of Tawnos. Palinchron can easily go infinite with this as well.
September 5, 2016 11:15 a.m.
So, I don't want to go full storm. This is really pseudo-storm in the fact that i want to cast a lot of spells, but I'm not trying to storm off. Grapeshot or Brain Freeze is not my goal here. I will most likely put Palinchron and High Tide in there though.

oh and obstinate and aquameoba are both anti-mill tech. I discard kozilek and a bunch of cards to meoba to shuffle and not die.

Thanks for the upvotes guys! also Lilbrudder As far as Past in Flames, i also love Mizzix's Mastery. 3 more and I get to cast everything in my graveyard without paying its mana cost. I did make a budget version as well that is much more stormy.

Thats a really cool card. I personally feel like you can never have too much good recursion especially when you fill your graveyard fast. Why not run both?
September 7, 2016 11:33 a.m.
I am not putting very much into my graveyard honestly. It is rare that I'm using either to hit more than 5-6 cards just to finish out the game. And Mastery just flows better. This version has none of the rituals or anything so I often don't have the mana to recast every spell, where as with Mastery, I use 8 and just cast everything.

I'm not liking the Diviner's Wand. I feel like I should go more into the combo aspect and combat damage justs doesn't do it. Hmm. Any ideas? Should I just add more Draw spells?
September 7, 2016 4:27 p.m.
Hmm, interesting. I might shove gamble in here for now and see how it goes. I have had bad run-ins with gamble in the past.

Pheardemons I know you like to build competitive, but i wanted to ask what you think about this deck idea. It is supposed to be combo-esq and I want make it consistent.
