Yup, before i knew that Unnatural Predation exists, i used to run with 1 Giant Growth and one more land, but the trample is too much needed. Thanks for your feedback anyway :D

+1 for living dangerously. Also suggest Inkmoth Nexus as an amazing land in pump decks.

This is a solid deck! I was looking for ideas for mine. I took the idea in a different direction, my deck features Kiln Fiend s and Nivix Cyclops and then uses Distortion Strike or Artful Dodge to make it unblockable, then pumps the Fiend/Cyclops and swings for crazy amounts of damage the opponent can't stop.
I like your idea as well though. Green has plenty of great pump to make Kiln Fiend ridiculous. Although this might not be the direction you're looking to go in, Goblin Tunneler could be good to make your Kiln Fiend s unblockable before they get ginormous. Also, Overwhelming Stampede would be ridiculous in here, but it's way above your mana curve. Might be good late-game though. You could also consider Titan's Strength for good cheap red pump, and the scrying is always useful.
Really a great concept though, and it's well put together! +1.

Well in fact, the deck I play the more is UR kiln fiend, so I know about all the cards you're quoting, except Goblin Tunneler
(wich i might consider] :P
Overwhelming Stampede
, as you said, is way above my curve, I need to have at least to kill with it, assuming I spend the 6th mana to cast Assault Strobe
, and if I have 6 lands on the board, it's because I'm losing the game.
At first I ran my UR kiln fiend with a playset of Titan's Strength
, and it's a good card, but after games and games of tests, I found out that the scry isn't that relevant because my goal is to oneshot, but at the same time, it can't save a Kiln Fiend
from Lightning Bolt
, so Brute Force
and Giant Growth
are almost strictly better :p
Thanks for your feedback

I already looked at your deck, and to be honest I think that some of your choices are really questionable (but that's just my opinion), plus the fact that it is UR while mine is RG, I don't really know why you link it here (no offense :P )

Well, first up you get a +1 from me for running this deck, as it's something similar to what I've been running in my casual FNM recently; Guess What? You Lose....
As far as suggestions go, I'd say maybe Fling in the sideboard, which is a card I mainboard, simply againt those matchups that run sac effects like Celestial Flare or Geth's Verdict . Annoyingly, these people like to wait till you throw a bunch of puimps into the Kiln Fiend , then go "Tee hee now you gotta sac it LOLOLOL". In response, Fling and smash em in the face. Alternatively, it's a way to deal double damage without Assault Strobe

You're right, I have nothing in this deck to answer sac, I'll consider swapping Wild Defiance for Fling , thanks for the suggestion !

I would question mixing infect with normal damage. If you do like 12 damage with a fiend and then it dies and then you draw into a gliglistened elf yours sort of screwed because you essentially have to start all over again. I mean you could run Monastery Swiftspear as more fiends.

Maybe Might of Old Krosa instead of Groundswell since you only run 18 lands?

@ChiefBell : Since my goal is to one shot if my opponent kills my Glistener Elf
or my Kiln Fiend
, I probably won't be able to win anyway, so it's not that important in my opinion. But I see your point, i'll try Monastery Swiftspear
and see if it's better than in my thoughts :p
@sergiodelrio : good suggestion, I run Groundswell
to be able to give +4/+4 at instant speed, but it's maybe not that relevant...

Absolutely love this deck; so cool to see a mix of normal damage and infect. Have you considered Rancor? It allows you to trample over as well plus it goes back into your hand if it hits the grave, so no loss in cards. I know alot of people like to use that instead of unnatural predation. This deck is also very similar to the mono-green infect that i use for modern lol. Did you use infect decks as a template?
October 14, 2014 7:11 p.m.
Yggdrasil60 says... #17
Yup, but Rancor
doesn't trigger Kiln Fiend
since it's an enchantment and I want to kill in one turn, Unnatural Predation
fits more my gameplan :p
I didn't use any templates, I was bored so I decided to make a (more or less) viable RG kiln fiend deck xD (Kiln Fiend
is one of my favorite creatures in mtg)
October 15, 2014 12:35 p.m.
Ah I hadn't considered that. Then yes much better choice. How has playtesting it been doing?

How about Crimson Wisps ? If you have it in hand you can just wait until you're ready to go of and do so. Also one might consider running Lightning Bolt s main, because of flexibility, but I can see a point in not doing so.

I originally considered Crimson Wisps
, but I don't know what to replace... :c
I don't run bolt MD because it's only useful (in this deck) to kill some annoying creatures like thalia

@Lhurgyof Why people keep suggesting me blue cards in a RG deck ? xD
October 24, 2014 12:45 p.m.
Why does your title state the obvious for Modern? :)

I was thinking how to fit good old Giant Growth but it seems that this deck is full and nothing can really be replaced. Just +1
