That's a spirit deck, one I've been wanting to make actually. Not bad, +1 from me!

I'd swap the Probes with Midnight Haunting. If you want card draw I'd look elsewhere, maybe Mentor of the Meek?

@EleshBlade: Cost, mostly, though it's nice to have the Evolving Wilds thin my deck a bit, too.

@The Messian: The nice thing with the probes is they give me info on what's coming, in addition to the draw, which is always always nice to have. More importantly, what would I drop for Mentor? If this were U/W humans, I'd definitely agree, but with 4 Lingering Souls , I'm not sure I need the hauntings.

I think adding in a Day of Judgment or two in the sideboard might be a good idea in case you run against heavy aggro.

casual deck comment: Interesting deck, but I think it could use some more forms of removal or tempo increasers mainboard to increase it's reliability.
FNM level advice:Dissipate is too slow and too color intensive for this deck Mana Leak would probably be a much better counter. I'd also suggest adding more cards that'll make your spirits more threatening such as anthems or equipment that way your opponent will be more pressed to kill them off instead of waiting for you to empty your hand and doj them.

possibly? With the reaver out an extra draw per turn could be useful.

Assuming you want the Call to the Kindred to flip a Reaver, you will want to put in 3 or 4. Just to get the odds a little higher of drawing the enchantment instead of the reaver himself to soon.
Check out my spirit deck, maybe you will get a couple ideas deck:vensers-spirits

@ghost89: is a nice card, but I don't think it's all that appropriate for this deck. I only have 2 reavers, and don't plan on putting anymore in. There's already a decent amount of competition for the 3 drop slot, I don't see a compelling need to add more.
@joo1064: what would you pull for those Call to the Kindred ?

I would move the Surgical Extractions to the sideboard. Those are only really needed in a deck when you KNOW there is a card you have to take out of the game.
April 3, 2012 5:02 p.m.
Its tough to choose which to pull...for 1 extraCall to the Kindred i say pull a Vapor Snag if you go for, pull one from Mana Leak , Doomed Traveler , or Gitaxian Probe
Messian's suggestion also works...sideboarding the extractions will get you the two spots.

Curious are you going for speed? If that's the case let me know I have some ideas.

Alright, the more expensive suggestions:
Cavern of Souls (because you run mainly tribal, and you really want those captains to hit)
Geist of St Traft- he is expensive to obtain, but he can be one awesome powerhouse on his own. He's already hexproof, but swinging with a 4/4 angel each turn to back him up is nothing to be scoffed at either.
Less expensive options:
The new Detention Spheres are rather cool. Might consider that over Oblivion Ring.
You have Midnight haunting as an instant way of getting more tokens
The new Ravnica card Phantom General is a spirit, and gives your tokens +1/+1
About all I can think of at the moment. Try to think of something more later...

You should be okay with the deck as-is, but I would personally replace Call to the Kindred with Midnight Haunting . And if you can get copies of Geist of Saint Traft , that would be a good addition too - probably instead of Niblis of the Urn .

I know you want to keep them, but Drogskol Reaver is silly in this deck. You have no ramp and you'll likely miss a land-drop or two before casting him, pushing him to turn-8 or turn-9, at which point you should've already won or lost.
Honestly, just take them out for Midnight Haunting .

i would swap unsummon for Cyclonic Rift as it deals with non-permanents and can be overloaded, also i highly recommend card:Sphinx's Revelation as it doubles with reaver. i know u said ur on a budget but u defeinatley need Cavern of Souls and Midnight Haunting .

As I was sorting cards, I realized I have three Cackling Counterpart . Would they be better than Latch Seeker ?
September 22, 2012 4:09 p.m.
I would have to agree. Moorland Haunt seems like a no-brainer.
September 28, 2012 2:25 p.m.
Drop Drogskol Reaver and Call to the Kindred , get yourself 4x Midnight Haunting .
Drop 2 Oblivion Ring for 2 Detention Sphere .
