Since I started playing magic one of my favorite mechanics has been the elusive extra turn, which is, in my opinion, the most powerful pseudo keyword that has ever been printed (besides maybe 'you win the game' but that's too obvious. And I'm sorry 'draw a card' fans, but taking an extra turn gives me a draw as well.) After building a mono blue hard control list with its main win condition as chaining turns, I have acquired a good stack of extra turn spells, and now that I look to shifting that list over to Dimir control, those spells need a home. Hence, this list!
I also have completed the cycle of mono colored decks, so this deck has to be mono blue. There are lots of commanders that synergize very well with extra turn spells. The main ones that I've looked at were Naru Meha to copy big extra turn spells, Uyo, Silent Prophet for the same but more repeatable, Will Kenrith to make spells cheaper and eventually emblem and give a permanent Swarm Intelligence, God Eternal Kefnet for cost reduction and recursion, a well as various other blue value engines, such as Gadwick or Baral. Of these, my favorites are probably Will Kenrith and God Eternal Kefnet, since they both let you cast spells for cheaper and copy them (it takes a while with Will but its there) and they both stack well with extra turns, that being an upkeep trigger and being a planeswalker. For me Kefnet is superior since he costs less to cast, is harder to kill, and opens up far more synergies and even infinites that get around how most modern extra turn spells exile themselves. I might end up trying Will out at some point, but for now Kefnet will be commanding this mess of a turns deck.
