I'm just looking for any input I can glean from more experienced players than myself! Tips are very much appreciated!

Boros Elite comes in quickly as a pumping fodder, while waiting for Imposing Sovereign to slow the game down. Boros Reckoner will also serve the purpose of slowing the game down if it's not quite going the way I want it to. On the other hand if I can bring out a Fiendslayer as well as Path of Bravery before I get Archangel of Thune out then I'll have a couple extra good sources of life gain to help out getting some counters rolling.

Brave the Elements is in for the amazing protection it can supply.

Burning Earth is just another way to slow the game and wear the opponent down while I get rolling.
