So this is my scry deck, after playing a draft i kind of enjoyed scry-ing (if that is a real word) and stumbled across the interaction of Flamespeaker Adept and Aqueous Form. It got me thinking about cheap scry cards, mainly instants and sorceries to help boost Flamespeaker Adept and Spellheart Chimera. The result.... two cheap beaters in the deck backed with some burn, control and a God, Thassa, God of the Sea.
So changes have now happened main board and an updated side board as well!
Main board.
Young Pyromancer excels in instant/sorcery decks, popping out tokens to do my blocking. On it's own it can a very dangerous card because if it is not dealt with quickly then i may just have to buy another play mat to accommodate all my tokens! He come's in for the
Omenspeaker
.
Counterflux is in for Turn / Burn and
Prescient Chimera
, a great un-counterable counter spell with overload capabilities for a lower CMC than the two being replace (fused cost of Turn / Burn). It will help stall opponents and protect my beaters.
Side board.
Curse of the Swine, a really nice card to deal with fatty threats, not really a board wipe more of a board miniaturisation lol
Izzet Charm
, the utility card of Izzet, no real explanation need i think.
Psychic Spiral, the deck is designed to be fairly quick and runs out of steam if the game goes long! This card is a beauty to reverse this replenishing my library and emptying their's, always helpful!
Let me know what you think, all thoughts are welcome
