Actually no, thats the sad part, because Underworld Cerberus needs to die for its effect to happen, and Whip of Erebos exiles him, so usually what's supposed to happen is i'll bring back Angel of Serenity with the whip, and target Underworld Cerberus , so the cerberus comes back to the field that way, permanently. It's a little awkward currently, but that's what the deck is here for.

Ah, okay that's what I was thinking. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing some sort of Obzedat-esque stack manipulation. Well, I can't personally say I'm a fan of reanimator decks, but this looks to be headed in a solid direction.
I'm not entirely sure Dreg Mangler has too much to add to this build, personally. I understand the scavenge synergy but at the same time it just doesn't feel strong enough. While it may not synergize as well, Boon Satyr might provide a bit more of an impact. Alternatively, Courser of Kruphix could help pull things together a bit.

I would use fanatic of xenagos instead of dreg mangler, that 1 extra damage, and trample is a boon.

Thanks guys, Dreg Mangler was only there for a little "early" damage or something, but other decks always had blockers for him by then. I may just do Sylvan Caryatid in his place though, since this deck feels like it's best to center around Lotleth Troll and mana dorks are good for discarding later. But i'll look into Boon Satyr and Courser of Kruphix for testing

I think Fanatic of Xenagos is another good idea. The only problem I have with it is that it seems to be fitting a role made for another deck. I like either in an aggressive jund build. I think even my own suggestion of Boon Satyr seems a bit weird.
I still stand by Courser of Kruphix for some plus-sides or your suggestion of Sylvan Caryatid for some ramp.

Angel of Serenity returns the Underworld Cerberus to your hand when it leaves the battlefield, not to the battlefield permanently...

I really like Sylvan Primordial as a reanimator target
March 17, 2014 9:45 p.m.
I thought about Sylvan Primordial , and I may still use it. I feel like this deck doesn't know what it wants yet, though

Pretty good. I came up with something similar a few months ago and I play it casually at FNM. Really fun deck. You can get hilarious reactions from people when you reanimate sylvan primordial on turn 5.

Bringing back Whip if it's destroyed or putting creatures into the graveyard to gain 4 life.
March 17, 2014 10:34 p.m.
It works really well because everyone was always blowing up my Whip.
March 17, 2014 10:42 p.m.
Also, Underworld Cerberus doesn't work with Whip of Erebos. =(
March 17, 2014 10:43 p.m.
I know it doesn't, I think I have it in a comment where I misunderstood, but I know how it works.

If you're making a whip deck, and using cards such as Lotleth Troll and Commune with the Gods to discard, you can put in cards that our out of colour with huge ETB effects, such as Ashen Rider . Worth a thought.
I also agree with the recommendation of Courser of Kruphix , lets you clear land drops and work out (even if based on one card) if your grave filling spells are what you are looking for.

Well that's why I have Angel of Serenity , but I'll try Ashen Rider

i'd look into putting another way to reanimate in, what if i Putrefy your whip?
March 18, 2014 6:54 a.m.
That's why I have 3 whips. After playtesting, I usually have an extra one in my hand, so I'd be glad if you killed it :D. But what do you say for a better reanimator?
March 18, 2014 11:17 a.m.
You could add an combo for if all else fails and go Sanguine Bond + Crypt Incursion trust me it's sick!
