Peanut3181 I only meant the retreat for the second ability... The amount of pump potential breaks the scale, but as for versatility I understand your meaning.

Thanks so much! Wildsong!! It's really a fun deck to play! Definitely more of a casual deck though.

My only suggestion Ephemeral Shields. It will save your commander once for no mana. Think of it as a spell that prevents you from needing to pay 8 mana to recast him. Your creatures just sit there and combo so it shouldn't be an issue to pay the convoke cost.

smack80 I still will have to pay one because convoke counts for only colorless mana. I would personally rather something like Eldrazi Monument because it's a much stronger effect and easy to stay on the field. Thanks for the suggestion though!
bradanuva: thanks man. It's super fun to play!!! Your head will hurt after you cast Archangel of Thune

Actually convoke does one colorless or one mana of the tapped creatures color.

i love the decklist, i have something similar and i like where you went with it. One janky card i like in mine is Jade Monolith
June 18, 2016 4:21 a.m.
you should have the odrics in here, Crusader of Odric + Odric, Master Tactician and Odric, Lunarch Marshal

The only issue I have is that the crusader seems a little underwhelming to me because mono white doesn't really have evasion and she will get chump blocked all day.
Old Odric is nice but I don't really attack until I hit a win con like Jazal Goldmane Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Coat of Arms, etc. The only thing I would really take out for him is Field Marshal
New Odric, I don't really see a point to it because a lot of my effects on my creatures are banner effects anyways so it seems redundant

Ankh of Mishra is pretty gross with Darien, plus it softens up our opponents and discourages them from ramping.

Oooohhhh, I forgot about Pious Evangel Flip!
I also like Ankh of Mishra,I may sub it in for Jade Monolith

Pious Evangel Flip's back face is black, so you can't play it in a mono-white deck unfortunately.

Oh! Sorry. Its true: "The back face of a double-faced card is included when determining a card's colour identity."

Is there a particular reason you aren't running Secure the Wastes? I would think it's perfect for this deck.

It doesn't go with my soldier strategy, like with Coat of Arms. And I don't really have ways to get a ton of mana.
Theoretically I could run Ashnod's Altar and just dump a ton of mana on it, but I like using Darien's ability more. I do have one X spell in Decree of Justice but that's about it.

Why not Mirran Crusader or Knight of the White Orchid but other than that sweet deck man might build it myself.

Angel's Grace is a thing in case they are swinging for lethal with something like a craterhoof play.

Love this deck! I have been building a white weenie deck for a while with Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite as the commander. Hardly ever got her out or if I did it was just to win. Used some of the lifegain elements in that that I see here (soul sisters cuz duh) but this is just redonk.
Finally got my hands on a Darien and gonna seat him at the helm to try to take down a rather competitive zombie tribal deck. I think the lifegain will help push it over the top.
I currently use Eldrazi Monument in my deck and it is awesome. With all the ways you have to deal damage to yourself it is very versatile.

like I said in the discussion above, I absolutely love this deck BUT mono white can't deal with competitive decks out there because of the huge reliance on artifact ramp/card draw. Especially if the zombie tribal deck is U/B. It cant deal with control very well.
Darien will make this deck "sweet" and fun, but it won't make it competitive IMO. It's still my favorite deck to play but if you are wanting to go competitive I would go with either a BUG, UG, or mono-blue.
However, by no means am I saying don't build it, in fact I look forward to hearing the results of your match with the other deck. I just don't want you to think that it's competitive, cuz it's casual.
