YODBC8 The Dark Deck 2
Partially in response to doinitwrong's statement that Mind Twist hasn't demonstrated itself to be a threat, I threw this lil one together. With that said this is probably the wrong challenge for Mind Twist, but I'll give it a shot (If there is ever a Revised/Fallen Empires YODBC then you will see the power of Mind Twist and learn why it was restricted evil laughter).
The Dark cards: 4xMind Bomb, 2x Rag Man, 2x Wand of Ith, 3x Fellwar Stone, 2x Amnesia, 2x Skull of Orm, 4x Dance of Many, Ashes to Ashes
Blue/Black discard reanimator/control. Being forced to use 20 cards from The Dark is making this a tough call to get right and there are a lot of cards in revised I'd rather be using... but this is a "challenge" after all. A "god hand" is to use Mind Bomb to hurt your opponent and fill your own graveyard, then Animate Dead to swing away (hopefully with either your own Mahamoti Djinn or one of their own fatties).
Solid discard through hippi/mindtwist is the second option and leads to reanimation or buys time to get the djinn out. With support from amnesia and wand of ith.
Third line of defense is to stall with Dance of many and to steal creatures (discarded with animate dead, active with control magic) until you drop a djinn.
Dance of Many is a pseudo-clone designed to buy time if played early. Don't be afraid to trade one for one with it, I had to use 4.
Skull of Orm is interesting in allowing you to bring back your enchantments (animate dead, DoM, Control magic). Steal their creatures, trade with it, then reuse with Skull of Orm brings back your enchantments. A nice engine if the game goes long.
In playtesting this (against the virtual goldfish), you have to be careful about how you use Dance of Many. It's a temporary stop if you use it as a two drop, and don't maintain when it starts to hamper your ability to cast high CMC drops. The last thing you want is to let your opponent flood the battlefield while you are jammed up because of DoM... But late game, it you have a djinn out or have reanimated a fatty, it's GG.
