@ Asher18 I think Detention Sphere is a better choice than Banishing Light but I honestly feel I just don't need it too badly at this point, maybe post-rotation

I like to permanently remove it instead of giving it the chance to come back into play. That's why I'd opt for Glare of Heresy or Deicide instead any day.

Maybe this is just me but aren't the scry lands a little slow?

have you ever considered Ulcerate possibly as SB for faster decked opponents?

@ jlamb326 scry lands aren't exactly fast, but neither is this deck. Scry lands are pretty crucial for control right now.

@ Asher18 nah just because the faster decks I have to worry about provide a threat that I can't deal with while losing 3 life, other wise I'd be using it for sure

okay so what do we do after rotation now for esper or u/w control ? our card draw options are pretty limited. read the bones, divination, jace's ingenuity

@ wizardjohn yeah it's not looking good for UW or Esper after rotation. I played this deck nearly exclusively for most of this standard season though, and it has performed extremely well. I am not sure what the transformation for this deck will be, but I will still have an Esper variant around. As for my main deck, I'm working on a Sultai (BUG) walkers brew right now, but I cannot finish it until I see the rest of Khans, but I will keep the site updated.

Im so sad because i got back into magic about 3 months ago and vowed not to spend money on the RTR set cards since they were rotating. and then I borrowed a friends U/W control deck for a big tournament and never having played it before i got second place and i fell in love, and they say better to have loved and lost than never loved at all. but idk. the pain i feel ... it hurts haha

Why is mana confluence in here??? with so much multicolored mana u honestly dont need this cause the odds of drawing for the type u need is so high to begin with. Just honestly add any other card u want, u dont need more lands haha u got plenty. Otherwise its a balsy annoying ass control deck which works so good job ;)

You should turn this into a modern deck. That's what I did with mine, and I love it.
