No man. I get it. My friends and I have played that way many times in FFA and other multiplayer games.
It really works as you say.
It's not perfect but it does provide a different element of challenge.

Yeah theemptyquiver, especially if you play those opponents regularly and despite being hit with different deck ideas, you can learn your opponents style of play. What can be frustrating is one player being gullible or easily led into playing foolishly by one of my opponents, thereby stealing my well earned kill!! Grrrr, anger abounds, but nonetheless, it's far more fun.

Yeah. I know the feeling. One guy and I always go for each other in FFA games, fearing for the other to win. It usually just leads to neither of us winning, but we fear the other winning more than both of us losing.

That is hilarious and I can relate to what you just said on many levels. But forgive me, what is FFA?

I wonder who gave him the idea...;)
I approve this deck, since mine is only half as good.
+1 from me.
I would recommend removing 1 Tezz, one sol ring, and one enlightened tutor for one of each urzatron piece.

@JustMySkills: Thanks, I will!
@stryder: Thanks for looking, but I do not HAVE to recognize tournament banned/restricted lists for a kitchen table Magic play group. I have actually managed to obtain a playset of Revised Sol Ring s, and I wanted to show them off. If I ever find a card that has even a close chance of being as good, maybe I will switch it out. Until then, READ THE FIRST COMMENT. I refuse to remove them.
@Kenny_Smith1234: I really never found this website until about five months AFTER I built the first version of this. I saw an article that posted the infinite combo involving Filigree Sages , Khalni Gem , and Training Grounds , and I saw an Isochron Scepter later, and thought that this deck was meant to happen! I quickly put the rudiments together, and soon after my playgroup tried to ban the deck, it recieved it's name. It is fun to hit experienced players with, but DO NOT use it on a player that just started playing, I did once, they no longer play! Thanks for looking, maybe I can help with your deck too!

I don't get it. Why run only 4 Isochron Scepter when you could be running 8 or even 10? I understand if you don't have that many, but otherwise I'd go for that.

I was trying to come up with something else witty, but can't seem to think of anything! I felt that maybe a new name would entice more views, something that not everyone has seen a million times.

4 sol rings how about a match with the 40 lightning bolt special?

why not run copy artifact? its two to play and always comes in hand when you need metal craft of early game mana ramp, copy a artifact land.

Run Muddle the Mixture to grab Isochron Scepter s. Also, why not run Mana Vault ?

@loganlittl3: I have so much card draw in the deck that a copy artifact would only eat a mana or two best used to further the combo. It becomes a poor version of whatever it copies, 2 for a land, 2 for a sol ring, etc. Thanks for looking though!
@KorApprentice: Muddle the Mixture sounds great, but I found so far that creatures are the biggest threat to the setup, looking for consistency and speed, my meta doesn't really use that much control, so I need speed suggestions. Also, never thought about Mana Vault , seems like a good addition, thanks!

Hmmm, I went off on a tangent there....
The original point I was going to make, is that this system stops conceding. We don't allow a player to concede when we play like this as it screws over the other players who have worked at their combos over the past couple of turns. In other words, we see it as: why should a player miss out on a point just because one player is mana screwed or can't possibly win?! That's tough, it's MTG. As Good 'Ol Homer J Simpson would say... "TS".
