Wood Elemental is the definition of power creep, I must admit... However, waiting until turn 5 to play him isn't ideal. Perhaps there is some other green creature as OP as Wood Elemental?

And yeah if want some fire-power, use Force of Nature over the Bears. Swinging for 8 on turn 4? OP

I'd recommend adding Battle of Wits to this build. Combos with Storm Crow for mass destruction

@CricketYT: Viashino Skeleton, as a matter of fact, regenerates. And as if that wasn't crazy enough, it has 2 power! Blocks Grizzly Bears all day.
@rockleemyhero: Battle of Wits is one of Storm Crow's ultimate weapons of destruction... However, I am but a mere mortal- I am not worthy of the power, nor do I know how to use it.

How does this fair at fnm? A lot of people are running Squire. That card is broken.
January 9, 2015 6:39 p.m.
I totally think Squire Deserves an emergency ban, A 1/2 for 2? Just way too good, It breaks the format, and is the only thing that can counter Storm Crow

Excuse me i don't see the Lord Gurmag Swiftwing, eater of storm crows here. That is unacceptable

And even playing Wood Elemental at turn five doesn't make him that powerful although he is completely OP if you're playing all green, but you're playing sunburst so he's going to be a pain in the ass to use. That all is if you want to use Wood Elemental effectively

Prismatic Omen turns all my lands into Forests for Wood Elemental; OP, amirite?

No Fugitive Wizard or Carnivorous Moss-Beast? Not even Ugin's Nexus!?!?
7.8/10, would not play

@CurtainSnatch
Storm Crow flies over Fugitive Wizard all day, every day. And if you give it vigilance? GG.
Also, Wood Elemental can be bigger than a Carnivorous Moss-Beast, provided you have 9 untapped forest to sac. Power creep much?
(Regarding Ugin's Nexus, it doesn't fit the theme- It's a colorless artifact, and it isn't even completely unplayable.)

But Raging Goblin is far worse than the clearly superior Viashino Skeleton; it can't even regenerate! Weak.
February 13, 2015 3:26 a.m.
Force of Savagery is op! He's 8 power, no matter how many lands.
February 13, 2015 8:49 a.m.
KillDatBUG says... #19
Force of Savagery is indeed OP, but Wood Elemental is far more so- He could be as big as a 20/20 if you have all your lands in play!

How do you feel about One with Nothing? Great against midrange and synergises well with Aven Trooper
February 13, 2015 1:57 p.m.
KillDatBUG says... #21
One with Nothing is a cool card for sure, but Aven Trooper already requires me to have a hand for its ability- It even combos with Conflux to increase the clock by a tenfold!

Cool card and all, but I don't really want to put Unhinged/Unglued cards in this deck, for a simple reason: This deck is actually Legacy legal.
February 15, 2015 5:35 p.m.
im amazed you were able to put this powerful of a deck together on such a budget

Looks really good, but gets countered by the all-Karoo deck. I would look into that.

Meh. Needs more Wood Elemental.
