[world slayer] with avacyn is pretty much a insta win if you land a hit on someone

Hi Tellerd, if I were playing resource denial, I would totally run Worldslayer . I play this deck with my family and friends, so I like to keep the board wipes to creatures and/or other non-land permanents. This way, the deck is a challenge to play against, but not oppressive or groan-worthy. Though I guess having Avacyn as your commander is already grown-worthy :)

Entreat the Angels should be here just for flavor and cuz its really good. i would also add Scroll of Avacyn for some card draw. and Avacyn, Guardian Angel , just cuz...Also since mono-white has a hard time drawing cards you might want to put a little more lifelink in and add Well of Lost Dreams .

I used to have Entreat the Angels in the deck, but I only have 1 and it's in my Rhys token deck now. I'll need to get another one, because it's an awesome card. I'm thinking about Well of Lost Dreams as well, since I do have several lifelink creatures and enablers.

I'm not a fan of the new Avacyn, Guardian Angel , but if I go heavier on the angel tribal, she'll be on the short list. Scroll of Avacyn is on theme, but I need graveyard hate bad and the Relic of Progenitus I have in the maybeboard can draw me a card for the same cost.

I was wondering if you've given any thought to running Akroma's Memorial ~ Concerted Effort ~ True Conviction

Akroma's would be a great threat as soon as it hits the field, same with True.

Concerted Effort would be hilarious with Akroma out.

@ZombieCat: Sorry for such a late reply. True Conviction is amazing, and has been in and out of the deck lately. I like it, but will need to acquire another copy if I want to run it here. I feel like Akroma's Memorial is a bit win more, but I won't doubt its useful. Concerted Effort is a neat card, and it's one I ran in my very first mono while angel tribal build for this deck. I will definitely consider it. Thanks for your suggestions!

What do you think of adding Scroll Rack to synergize with your Land Tax? I use it in my Avacyn deck and it's the best mono-white draw engine I've come across.

Also, I love Endless Horizons, for getting you lands or for thinning your deck late-game so you aren't top-decking them when you don't want to.

What do you think of running Pariah or Pariah-on-a-stick creatures like Palisade Giant and Weathered Bodyguards?

Lastly, I find Faith's Shield and Razor Barrier are godsends with Avacyn, since exile is still a thing.

I like Scroll Rack, but my girlfriend didn't, which is why it's not in the deck right now. If I come across another one I'll totally put it in, now that she's a bit more experienced with playing and with card interactions.

Endless Horizons is great, but got cut a while back for some mana rocks like Thran Dynamo, since I started focusing a bit more on ramping out Avacyn.

I like the redirect damage effects, but I prefer Pariah's Shield in my build since I have a bit of an equipment focus.

Regarding the one-time protection effects, this deck already has a hard time keeping cards in hand, so one-off spells I usually save for spot removal since I can usually recast Avacyn, but I can't if I die to something nasty before I get another turn :)

No problem, I like your build. I'm finding Avacyn as a fun and challenging commander to build around, because she is on the slow side (mono-white often is in general, aside from maybe Eight-and-a-Half-Tails). She definitely dominates late-game, though.

Mine is a bit less aggressive (I'm not running Armageddon or infect stuff,) and only has equipments to help protect Avacyn from exile or sacrifice, including the new Assault Suit.
