If you want to play a discard deck, you need waste not. Also, you should cut red. Just play blue black with more duress, mind rot, despise, ashiok, and thoughtseize

League_of_Griffin, I'm not playing a discard deck. I thought you knew that by now. You know that I'm not rich man.
Totes_Nefarious I was debating that choice. I think I would add it, but what do I take out? Thanks for the suggestion!
F4llen_Icarus So I followed some of your suggestions, and how do you think it worked out? I'm going to compete at this FNM coming up. I would be grateful for more feedback. Thanks a lot for the suggestion!

i would add three Fascination and drop Silumgar's Command Dissolve and Frost Walker.

You need to make up your mind with the one offs. For example, Frost Walker is no good in your deck without the full set. Silumgar's Command will not really do anything that an extra Hero's Downfall could do. Spellheart Chimera doesn't help with the theme of the deck. Crux of Fate seems weird when Whelming Wave has so much more synergy with Chasm Skulker. And speaking of Chasm Skulker, if you want to truly take advantage of it then you need more!
I would suggest making the following edits (because this deck will not go 4 and 0 right now):
-1 spellheart chimera for 1 Chasm Skulker.
-1 Frost Walker for 1 Chasm Skulker
-1 Curse of the Swine and Crux of Fate for 2 more Whelming Wave.
-1 Silumgar's Command for 1 Waste Not.
-2 Divination for 2 Waste Not
-1 Read the Bones for 1 Dictate of Kruphix
-1 Swiftwater Cliffs for 1 ashiok
seriously consider my advice from somebody who has spent a lot of money on this game and gone four and 0 many times. You can choose to ignore me...

Ninjadude51 I am considering your . Most of them seem sound. But why Whelming Wave and Chasm Skulker? It doesn't work together well at all?
May 19, 2015 8:43 p.m.
@Ninjadude51 Whelming Wave doesn't have synergy with Chasm Skulker since it will return the skulker to hand, because it doesn't have the required subtype, which would then lose the counters.

Ninjadude51, I certainly will try to find a way :D. How does the deck look now? I look forward to your feedback.

My main criticism now is your mana curve. 52% of your deck costs three mana, which is a common problem control decks have. Try to change up some of the draw mechanics to fit other slots, like Weave Fate or Jace's Ingenuity over Divination. The trickiest and most important part of deck construction is making the mana curve work for you.

I am still thoroughly against Curse of the Swine but if you really like it...

and also, whats your budget here? Because if there sin't much you definitely want to have full play sets of fetches and some tasigur.

id add in some hand control with your opponent drawing extra cards it dosnt seem like a bad move

I have some 1 drops that I think would work well here:
Dakra Mystic
Void Snare
It's been said already, but I agree you need to spread your curve out. Definitely remove Divination, you're already running 3x Dictate of Kruphix. It's unfortunate there's no room for Monastery Siege, I think the addition cost would make it more difficult for your opponent to take advantage of their card advantage.

Ninjadude51 I think i'm taking out Curse of the Swine for Crux of Fate. Also, I have $20 to buy cards not already in the deck. That's basically the current budget for new cards.
shadow63, while hand control is very fun, I think that a hand attack strat might be not the best. Though, in regard to electromancer's suggestion, maybe Duress or Despise could provide the hand control and fill out the curve? Tell me what you guys think.

The value of Duress and Despise drop considerably when your helping replace what you just took away. I would advise staying away from any sort of discard in this deck, it's essentially a nonbo.
Instead I'd focus on what makes this theme good. A Void Snare is pretty much a 1 cmc Hand of Death when your opponent has another copy of the same creature in their hand. The reason this deck could be good is because card advantage has significant depreciated value above 7. Find more cards like Master of the Feast and Void Snare where the only trade off (more card advantage) is a moot point.
I learned this the hard way when I built a deck around Duskmantle Seer about a year or two ago.

So a friend of mine has a deck similar to this Draw yourself to Death! and he has great success with Forced Fruition in combination with Fate Unraveler.

Lucky_Felix that is a modern card. This is a standard deck.

electromancer okay, I can see what you mean. While this is still discard, how about another Dark Deal? It can destroy control and midrange as they no longer have the cards they want. However, I am a big fan of Void Snare. I think I can add that if another Dark Deal is a bit overkill.

I assumed you had it for it's synergy with Dig Through Time and Fate Unraveler, It's your deck, but I second what Totes_Nefarious said. Adding any 3 drop, regardless of what it does, is probably overkill.
Here's a good article about Mana Curve:

electromancer What do you think of the new updates? I'm ordering the cards I need for this version today so if you have feedback it would be appreciated.

Looks better, you went from 52% to 47% 3 drops. I wouldn't worry too much about purchasing though since all the cards that would need tweaking are less than 25 cents. Even Damnable Pact isn't going to hurt your wallet too much. You'll have to play a couple games to figure out what is and isn't working.
The one change I would definitely make is taking out at least 1 Damnable Pact for Sign in Blood. When you have a handful of cards from Dictate of Kruphix, you're not going to want to pay 4 mana on a Damnable Pact when you could've paid 2 mana on Sign in Blood for the same effect (and played another spell).
If your still unsure, try goldfishing a bit to see what works.

I should also mention that I wouldn't normally run a deck with more than 35% 3-drops but that may be more of a personal preference. You'll have to figure out what works best for you.
F4llen_Icarus says... #1
I would suggest 4 Master of the Feast, 4 Sign in Blood and or some Damnable Pact for the later game draw/burn when combined with Fate Unraveler.
Some alternative board wipes i would suggest as I see Curse of the Swine maybe Polymorphist's Jest.
Also maybe another Dark Deal and add Waste Not to combo that off as well to get some tokens deal Fate Unraveler Damage and if your lucky you made them drop some land, got a Damnable Pact to set off another draw damage attack.
