Yeah, I may run Necropotence . I just remade my ninja deck and took it out, so it may find a place here. I think I may put Mimic Vat in here since there is so much creature sacrificing. I think it makes a bit more sense than having it in The Evil Dead II.

Mimic Vat is in, and also brought back Coffin Queen and Infernal Tribute . Decided to ditch the Eater of Hope . Ended up not seeing much play, and with so much creature sacrificing it seemed a bit redundant.

I've come to realize that having Infernal Tribute and Liliana Vess on the table with something to sacrifice makes for a very useful combination.

Removed a few of the "opponent sacrifices a creature" cards and put in a Vedalken Orrery and an It That Betrays . Looking to make better use of all those sorceries, which will be more destructive as instants, and since I end up with a ton of mana from the various swamp mulitipliers in the deck, I should be able to drop It That Betrays whenever I want to. One round of Sheoldred, Whispering One on the table with Betrays in play and I'll be looking to have a ton of creatures on my side of the board.

ever think about running Mirari ? also, I'd double check the rulings on what counts as sac effects for stuff in case there is anything else weird like -1/-1 counter death being a sacrifice. seems like the deck is coming along well, though the removal of so many instants seems like it removes alot of your ability to respond to stuff. also, what about Nihil Spellbomb over Agent of Erebos for the draw effect and cheaper cost?

Agent of Erebos is better since I can exile more than one graveyard, and it tutors with Corpse Harvester , Dimir House Guard , Demonic Tutor (obviously), Fleshwrither , and Liliana Vess (also obviously). I dropped a bunch of the instants simply because they were sacrifice a single creature spells. There is enough of that going around that I put in more utility cards that help against the flying creature weakness I was experiencing. That's why the Will-o'-the-Wisp is added, and Cadaver Imp . Also picked up an It That Betrays and want to see how that pans out.

Very nice deck. Makes for a great Phyrexian thematic deck, good control, and good mana ramp. Will test against my deck sometime.

Thanks. It tends to ramp pretty quick, though I wonder how sometimes. You'd be surprised how often I get to use Liliana of the Dark Realms ' ultimate.

"A swamp? That's not a problem, it can be ignored for now..."
"Eh, he's ramping pretty quickly, I'll attack next turn, can't have anything in hand right now right?"
"Where did those 4 Rune-scarred Demons come from?"

Goodbye Braids, Cabal Minion you have served me well...

I would act sad, but I don't think i could make it believable. Now for the Kokusho, the Evening Star Edh decks to begin...

I think there were a lot less exile options when they banned Kokusho, the Evening Star . And I can't wait to play a False Cure on some enterprising banned general edh deck.
September 17, 2014 7:39 p.m.
I would suggest using an Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth in your deck as it turns all of your nonbasics into swamps and that will help your Cabal Coffers swamp count a lot.

I completely agree. Been looking for one to trade for in my playgroup. Usually someone will have one laying around I can grab.

Got the final piece, thanks 00100 for the suggestion, and the deck is basically done until the next expansions come out and I find something worth swapping cards for...unless you guys have any other ideas of what could go in here or not. I suppose there are always black counterspells to add, but it just feels wrong somehow.
December 2, 2014 4:22 p.m.
Le Black counterspells are always a hoot. "How is Redirect a black card?" (Imp's Mischief)
Dash Hopes dashes hopes against dashing hopes. It's hopeless to use dash hopes to dash hopes, it just dashes hopes, usually yours on dashing (stopping now)

The Imp's Mischief is definitely a contender...so is Withering Boon. Damn Dash Hopes has major fallback to it in EDH...if only it dashed 10 points of damage.

This deck isn't Cruel Control, no matter how cruel it is or how not fun it is to play against. Cruel Control is Modern-legal UBR control that has a finisher of Cruel Ultimatum. Also Delver refers to Delver of Secrets Flip decks.

True. I'd made this deck a while back and didn't research the themes...just assumed. Thanks for reminding me. I've taken down the ones that don't apply.

Thinking of changing the commander to Balthor the Defiled or Chainer, Dementia Master...
January 23, 2015 3:41 p.m.
i think chainer just seems like a really fun general.

That's the one I was leaning toward as well. Nice to be able to grab opponent's creatures when I want to. The exile part is the only thing that bugs me...

Trying this deck out with Balthor the Defiled as the commander. Curious to see how different it behaves.

dat red though... jokes aside, i think this is a deck that could use Mimic Vat well. also Phyrexian Obliterator is calling your name. Another thing is that you could easily run both Erebos, God of the Dead and Necropotence for a better chance of getting the effect, as well as some versatility based on the situation.
