I love this deck, I just wonder why you have Duergar Hedge-Mage when you cant activate it's abilities?

That manabase - Ouch!

Can this deck be just Bant and a bit less painful? Fulminator Mage is only "black" card, and red splash off Birds, Pillar, etc.. doesn't seem too bad.

The manabase does hurt, but a lot of that life is healed back from Rhox War Monk and Lightning Helix.

Loving the Pillar of the Paruns tech though!

A couple more thoughts:What is Batwing Brume doing here? Just killing Twin?

The 1ofs in mainboard - these are for Bring to Light, yeah? Unfortunately it can't tutor for Finest Hour so that should probably go to side. Also recommend Wear / Tear for sideboard so you can maybe tutor out of a Blood Moon

In playtesting it has won me a few games, but not as many as my 1x Rafiq of the Many so I don't know If I should keep it.

Yes. Yes they are.
NINJA VANISH!

i really think you should be playing 1 Supreme Verdict somewhere in this

December 24, 2015 6:09 p.m.

I've completely forgotten about that. I think I will have that replace the Kitchen Finks in both the side and main. Thanks for the advice!

December 24, 2015 6:44 p.m.

May I suggest Dryad Militant? cut the meddling mages, as without hand disruption and a set of probes it is not as effective mainboard

December 29, 2015 10:22 a.m.

I actually love the mages, they get work done against ALL combo decks. When I have one and can guess what deck my opponent is playing or we are on g2 or g3 I can tear them apart. They are semi-useful against other decks such as aggro or control. Dryad Militant is a good suggestion, what do you recommend I remove?

December 29, 2015 10:33 a.m.

Side trygons or a mage or two. Really, it works best board. Otherwise the singleton shadow doesn't do much. If you want a cantrip Serum Visions is better.

December 29, 2015 12:03 p.m.

Okay :D

Have you considered Collected Company? It let's you get extreme value from all your less than or equal to three drops, and when combined with the previously suggested Serum Visions can be slightly manipulated.

December 29, 2015 6:38 p.m.

A good suggestion, but I don't know how viable it would be. I don't see what it would replace in the main, and it definitely doesn't fit in the side.

December 29, 2015 7:46 p.m.

I think with how sensitive the deck is, risking losing wish for board or brune or helix, that is risky. I don't see why no Path to Exile though

December 29, 2015 7:50 p.m.

Again, I love my board, and I also love the ramp I get before my opponent. Therefore, I choose not to run Path to Exile. I was originally planning on a bant list, and it would've made it, but I like 5 color more.

December 29, 2015 7:53 p.m.

You also need to be careful with coco, cause if it wiffs you can be screwed. JA14732 wiffed, I think 9 times in a row between three games?

December 29, 2015 7:54 p.m.

lol you play against him? Anyway you can respond to me in chat for the coding.

December 29, 2015 7:55 p.m.

Dude, yeah! We go to the same venue. He's an awesome guy and an awesome player

Well, it may be true that Collected Company could whiff, at the same time it can cheat out Vexing Shusher, Rhox War Monk or Dryad Militant during your opponents turn for a surprise factor, or during your turn for the sheer value. Plus you'd only need to one 1-2 with Bring to Light being in the deck. You could take out one or two of the mainboard Batwing Brume and slip them in for an easy way to cheat out some creatures. And even if you do whiff, the cards are still in your library, and so if you draw into another Bring to Light you can just recast the cards from the bottom.

I also second adding in Path to Exile, as it is just the ultimate creature removal spell outside of Swords to Plowshares.

December 29, 2015 8:45 p.m.

What should I remove for Path to Exile?
