I just love Izzet. I know that right now the meta is too aggro and nobody is playing izzet, at least in my FNM. But I've been obsessed with making an Izzet deck that can do fairly well in FNM. With my current deck I always win 1 out of 4 games. But the games I lose, most of the time I'm quite close to winning. Also, I can survive for much longer than others... It takes 15 rounds for decks that kill others in 5 rounds. So that gives me some hope. I think I got a good control, but I need more damage capable cards to kill and not just endure. In my current deck I have around 15 creatures, 24 lands and 21 spells. So I want to try 2 different approaches:

Ice & fire deck: More creatures (and more aggro creatures), less spells. More counter so that they don't kill my creatures easily.

Fire & Ice deck: Very few defensive creatures, just a couple of aggresive closers, and most damage done with burn. So this one will have less counters and much more burn.

This one here is the creatures deck. So what do you think? Which approach would you choose? Are 24 lands too many? The idea is to endure the first aggro attack with defensive creatures such as fog banks and sweepers like dungeon geists, rolling temblor or electrickery, and later start using aggro creatures finishing them up with the help of some burn like thunderous wrath.

Any help and opinions will be highly appreciated. Also, I know a thundermaw hellkite would be perfect, but I don't have enough money to buy any (here in Spain they cost 30 each, and it's only gonna be good in standard until summer so probably not worth the investment).

Thanks!
