Because it destroys an artifact or enchantment when it enters the battlefield and I can use it to draw cards with Skullclamp . But you're right, I could possibly take it out to make room for another card.

I like Trailblazer's Boots the ability is really cool and I think non-basic landwalk could be really strong. But I wish they gave haste as well.

Agreed. Non-basic land walk plus haste would be ideal. But it's still a good equipment for Rafiq because everyone in EDH runs non-basic lands.

Oh yeah. I like the combo of double strike plus Inquisitor's Flail when Rafiq is unblockable.

What Rafiq Competitive deck doesn't run Force of Will or Cryptic Command?

Devastation Tide is another good return cards to owners hands effect. I'd suggest Cathedral of War , Lightning Greaves , and Three Visits to go just a little bit faster.

@GenntenYou're absolutely right. Unfortunately Force of Will is out of my price range. I'm definitely adding Cryptic Command though! :D
@Arsene I don't like Devastation Tide because it's a sorcery. I should have specified that I was looking for instant speed bounce effects. I like Cyclonic Rift and Evacuation because I can cast them in response to an opponent attacking me. I'm pretty sure there is at least one more instant that is similar to those two, but I can't remember the name. I am missing Lightning Greaves though.

I really like the updates of the deck. The cards I really liked where Ghostway , Cryptic Command , Austere Command , Noble Hierarch , Crib Swap . I really dont understand EDH. you can only have one of each card, but then you run 4 or more cards that do the same thing? what is the point of the one card rule? Anyways, it looks a lot better with some new cards that I think add a lot of utility and at the end of the day this deck can do it all(destroy, exile, aggro, graveyard retrieval, protection). Which I would guess makes it a strong EDH deck because it can roll with the punches!

That's a good question Elliotw. The point of the one card rule in the EDH format is to force players to use more variety and versatility in their decks. However, just like in regular magic decks, it's good to have multiple cards with the same effect (like enchantment/artifact destruction). But because of the one card rule, it's a lot harder to do that in EDH. For example, I really like Cyclonic Rift , but I can only have 1 in my deck. So I put Evacuation in there too, and I'm trying to find a third instant with a similar effect.
Thanks for your input. If you have any suggestions let me know!

Here are some ideas that strike me as potentially strong in your deck :)
1x Augury Adept
1x Avenging Druid
1x Centaur Rootcaster
1x Cephalid Constable
1x Daxos of Meletis
1x Edric, Spymaster of Trest
1x Hydra Omnivore
1x Medomai the Ageless
1x Raven Guild Master
Raven Guild Master would WRECK someone if it connected twice.
Medomai is cheating, don't play it - but know it's awesome
Hydra Omnivore would give the deck multiplayer closing power
Edric plays Propaganda
and card draw AND low cmc
Daxos and Augury gain you life and offer value
Constable turns the game one-sided
Rootcaster and Druid are cute and fun to swing with
The deck you have now is really superb and highly functional. At this point
it is an optimization game (Mana Drain
, etc) or adding some sub-theme.
Something like Cipher could be awesome in this deck, depends...
