Back into magic after almost 4 years, trying to play at this weeks FNM on a small-ish budget. It seems like standard is the way to go.
Best way I thought to do this:
BRAIN IN A JAR
+
Main idea here is that despite not knowing the meta, blue-black control always seems to be powerful, and it appears the Brain lets you cast sorceries at instant speeds. This deck hopes to abuse that by casting Rise at the enemies end step, then bash in for stupid amounts.
The rest of the cards in the deck serve to either stall out the opponent or dig through my deck to find the combo pieces.
Where you come in
I haven't played Magic in almost 4 years, I have no idea what the meta looks like, or how it plays, or what is popular, or just about anything.
Please let me know if there are any cards I have in here that aren't as good as I might think, or any cards that I haven't included that would be good for adding/replacing.
Also, I have no idea what I should throw on the sideboard really, so I'm looking for help there.
Please +1 if you liked it!
EDIT #1 of many: Added a second absurd win condition so I don't get completely wrecked by Lost Legacy. Tuned up the mana base a little and shaped up the sideboard. Going to get this into proxy play soon hopefully.
