Elemental Bond doesn't trigger off any of your creatures.. Maybe replace it with some Anticipate's. Lets you filter away cards and draw one triggering Sphinx's Tutelage I'm not a big fan of Treasure Cruise in here either. Delve isn't a great mechanic synergy wise with Day's Undoing. Maybe replace it with Dragonlord's Prerogative or Jace's Ingenuity

I read Elemental Bond as creatures with power 3 or less. Damn, I really dropped the ball there. I should really learn how to read =/ I am also figuring out what to do regarding Assault Formation and Dragon's Eye Savants. I am thinking of replacing them with some counter plays. No ideas as of yet. I will fix the deck and tell me your ideas!

Greenside Watcher and Choking Sands aren't standard legal. I'm sure you can find standard legal mana ramp and land destruction if you wanted to though. +1 This seems like such a fun deck. :)

My question is why don't you have Assault Formation ? It helps incase an opponent has a few anti milling things in their side boards. Another thing you might consider if you do add Assault Formation is adding big bottom creatures it helps slows down ago, puts pressure on control, and adds another win on. And I don't know how I feel about Alhammarret's Archive with out mana ramp.

@bobthellama- I considered including Dragon's Eye Savants and Assault Formation early on in the development of this deck but I took them out because I thought that the deck was trying to do too much. I also am not 100% sold on Alhammarret's Archive. It seems like a great card for the deck but I am not sure if I want it yet. Once I go ahead and play paper magic, I will see just how well it is. In the test games that I have played, when I get it, I end up playing it on turn 5 or 6. I can ramp due to Courser of Kruphix and never had an issue with Archive. I am not sure on it as of yet.

Sounds fun! I'm running a similar deck already and was going to throw in some sphinx for extra mill. I don't have it on here if I ever put it up i'll share the link.Keep me updated on how it works :)

@bobthellama- Take a look at my A-Sultai Formation deck. It is what I am currently running in standard at the moment. It does decent enough (2-2 or 3-2 mostly) at my LGS but it is a fun deck to play nonetheless

Greenside Watcher is out of standard. I would suggest Voyaging Satyr because it is standard and you don't have any gates in your deck anyway.

Mitchman55043 It is the second paragraph in the description. It is also bolded. This won't be an issue once Tappedout finishes the Origins spoilers and every card is in the card database.

Loving that you have Sultai Charm in the deck, not just because of the draw synergy but so a single Bow of Nylea will not keep the opponent from milling out. If you can manage to add in Tormod's Crypt you will make it nearly impossible for the opponent to reshuffle/recycle their graveyard.

First off, I love this deck. This is the Sphinx mill deck I was looking for!But I do have a question: why include Phenax, God of Deception? I'm a big fan of the God of Mill, but in your deck, your biggest creature would only mill for four. I'm not sure what could replace him, but I'm just curious as to your reasoning.
But like I said, kudos on the deck! This is going to be one I build for myself :)

@HalfLife4Mac- Thank you for the compliment. I really appreciate it. I was not 100% sold on Phenax, God of Deception at first. With the mass amount of enchantments out on the field, in about 70% of the playthroughs, in a turn that I would play Phenax, I had enough for him to be a creature. Phenax, as well as Kruphix, both were creatures in many instances. This is a nice 7 card mill that I can get off rather reliably. I am not 100% sold still on Phenax. I would take it out for 2 Negates if it doesn't 100% work out. And I don't know what would replace them in the sideboard.

Ahh, ok. That makes sense. And if he wasn't working out, you could SB the Negates. I like it.

If you want to take out Phenax, God of Deception, one alternative to keep the creature count at 20 is to add Chasm Skulker and leaving Negate in the Sideboard. Just a thought.

Like I said, I personally love the god of mill. But that's a good idea about Chasm Skulkers too. Didn't even think about how crazy they could get in this deck O_o

I came up with another idea! If Phenax doesn't work out, you can run Master of the Feast instead. It would be more difficult to landing it out on turn 3 as you need 2 black sources but it can be done. Plus, he syncs with Herald of the Pantheon and Eidolon of Blossoms as well as helps the deck slim out by a sliver of draw. Also, a 5/5 Flyer for 3 is nothing to sneeze at either.

Master of the Feast could be good. That'll be something to test for sure :)

07.24.2015 FNM Update!
I went 1-3 at FNM but had a blast with this deck. The deck gets your heartbeat going as you don't know what each mill will hold. I ended milling someone for 10 with a single draw. Infinite Obliteration is such a great sideboard card for this deck. I was able to use two in a row on T3 & T4 against my third opponent to deal with his threats but still lost the set (more below). The Chasm Skulkers made for a great win con.
Round 1- I played against Mardu Aggro and milled my opponent out in both games. I sideboarded in Negate (against his Mardu Ascendancy, Goblin Fodder, and Hordeling Outburst), Bile Blight and Virulent Plague. All of which were super effective.
Round 2- I went up against Mono Red Goblins. I lost game 1 and won game 2. I almost beat him game 3 but got him down to 1 card and he had to deal 11 damage to me. He had 8 on the board and drew the Lightning Strike needed for game. Made my heart race. Was a really close matchup. Will love to see how this matchup further develops.
Round 3- I faced Green-White Control. Mainboard Dromoka's Commands hurt a lot. It is tough to fight against when you decide to play Sphinx's Tutelage T3. I almost beat him game 1 but misplayed and that cost me the game. Once I sideboarded in Negate and Infinite Obliterations, the matchup was a lot closer once they were in the deck. I lost game two as there was nothing I could've done against Gleam of Authority and 2 big Hydras.
Round 4- I lost against Mono Red Midrange. It was an interesting deck. I wasn't quite expecting it. Negate would've been nice against his Outpost Siege. I don't know how that matchup could've gone. It was a weird deck I never planned on going against. I didn't see any of my Infinite Obliterations.

I have tweaked this deck a little, and after some initial play testing, this is the deck I am running for tomorrow's game day event. I love the combination of constellation and mill, and the explosiveness is just crazy. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow!

Sorry it has taken me a while to respond, but life happens.
Okay, so the deck did exactly what I wanted it to do, which was have fun, but it didn't win any rounds.
Round 1 vs mono-black constellation: 1-2Won the first match thanks to a killer opening hand and hitting lots of double black tutelage flips. Milled him out quite fast, and it was marvelous. Next two matches, he sided in Fate Unraveler which was awful. Between killing myself per draw, and him hitting a lot of his fatties like Master of the Feast, I had a hard time responding. Match 3 was similar, but I was so close to milling him out before he killed me. Like maybe one turn from mill death. Fun match-up.
Round 2 vs B/W warriors: 0-2Yeah, this deck, and really all mill decks, can't stand against aggro. He Thoughtseized my early blockers and stomped me.
Round 3 vs 4-color awfulness: 1-2Match one here went exactly like my first round: drew a nice hand, milled them really fast. Fun fact, when you mill all their lands, people's faces turn all kinds of fascinating colors, lol. Match 2-3 were harder. He sided in some stuff specifically to counter mill, drew both his planeswalkers (Elspeth and Ajani, MOH) which wrecked me. Match 3 was closer, but he still curb-stomped me with his Fleecemane Lion and dragons.
So after some play testing, I still like this deck as it is mad fun, but don't expect to win any tourneys with it considering my local meta. But it got many compliments about how creative it was, so kudos to you for coming up with it. Easily the most fun deck I've ever played!
