The heart of this deck is Assault Formation. It's like Doran, the Siege Tower but better because of the ability to have creatures with defender attack. This is super fun because with Assault formation, you can lay down some serious fattys turn 1-4 and swing for a crapton by turn 4 or 5. Seriously, wall of frost turn 3, then swing for at least 7 on turn 4. That's if I choose not to use some of the other tricks in the deck such as Triton Tactics or Shape the Sands for an even bigger buff. I debated on other forms of removal, but I felt like using Epic Confrontation to smash their creatures into a wall was more fun.
Example ideal game:Turn 1: Tapland Turn 2: Land + Assault Formation Turn 3: Land + Wall of Frost Turn 4: Tapland + Buff wall of frost with shape the sands + pay to 1 to allow WOF to swing + then swing for 12
or
Turn 1: tap land Turn 2: land and Nyx-fleece ram Turn 3: Wall of essence and tap land Turn 4: Land + Assault formation + Triton tactics or shape the sands + pay for defender + swing at least 12
