This deck holds a special place for me. I started playing Magic around 19 years ago using my dad's old cards from around Tempest and Mirage. Vhati il-Dal was the first legendary creature I ever used in a deck way back then. A year or two back, I decided to try building a deck around Vhati, using a bunch of the cards I remember playing with when I was a kid. After spending a while tuning the deck, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. The goal of this deck is to use Vhati's ability in conjunction with cards like Pestilence to prevent my opponents from developing too large a board. I try to close out games either by going the death by a thousand cuts route with Pestilence, or by using cards like Tree of Perdition and Vraska, Relic Seeker to cut my opponents' life totals down quicker.
