I got the chance yesterday, 8/18/2015, to play my newly minted deck against 2 aggro decks. One is based on Zendikar Incarnate and Gaea's Revenge, and the other is based on getting a lot of Thopter tokens out and giving them haste and vigilance.
Zendikar Deck: 2-1 (I won!)
Both games that I won, I was able to counter, wipe the board, and eventually get x2 Sphinx's Tutelage and slowly mill them to death. My opponent was topdecking starting at turn 5 or 6 and everything they put down, I either countered or removed.
Best move: my opponent puts down Gaea's Revenge, can't be countered, has haste, protection from everything except green. Goes to attack with it, and I Sultai Charm it. Reaction was priceless!
My sideboard did well in this match-up. On turn 3, I played a Infinite Obliteration, getting rid of their strongest creature, Zendikar Incarnate, for the entire game.
Thopter Deck: 2-0 (I lost!)
First game, I was killed because of an enchantment that does 1 damage to me for every creature that enters the battlefield under my opponent's control. He had 3 of them out, then played Thopter Engineer and other creatures which come in with other creatures.
Second game, I had much better control. Was able to destroy / counter enchantments and creatures. But the Hangerback Walker at 5/5 stopped me from destroying the field. I think a well placed Displacement Wave or a Virulent Plague would do well in these match-ups.
Here is my analysis of my sideboard:
Thopter-esque Decks:
x3 Displacement Wave
x2 Virulent Plague
x2 Infinite Obliteration
Aggro Decks:
x3 Infinite Obliteration
x2 Despise
x2 Virulent Plague
Sorcery / Instant Heavy Decks:
x3 Talent of the Telepath
Control / Slow Decks:
x2 Alhammarret's Archive
Depending on the meta, I may get rid of the x2 Alhammarret's Archive and get another x1 Displacement Wave and x1 Infinite Obliteration.
If burn isn't a big thin in meta, I may get rid of x3 Talent of the Telepath and go for more destroy, probably x2 Crux of Fate and x1 Languish
