Horrendous your deck is playing sol rings and your playtesting against a standard deck? that seems like an unfair way to judge the deck

Thanks @kalfred16. So far, my friends are fans of playing against this deck. Haha. I think I will have my first FNM test of this deck either this Friday or next. I'm excited to see how it performs.

I am going to do something similar with my deck that uses Assault Formation

@lidlett: I thought about doing that too. Looks like it could be fun! I just didn't want to add as many creatures or green in the deck.

Makes scene to me. The biggest issue is figuring out what cards to keep and how to make it work.

@lidlett I would definitely think about adding Fruit of the First Tree. It works very well with spot removal. You can play it on your creatures or the enemies creatures.
But otherwise, I think you'll have to reduce the number of spot removal and counter. Or maybe put mill as a plan B.

You know what could be fun? Adding 1 Become Immense (or Shape the Sands if you want your spell to be cheaper) when you trigger Fruit of the First Tree. Instantly +6 (or 5) card draw! :D
Also, maybe add Reviving Melody in sideboard if your opponent has a lot of enchantment removal?

@x3n0n52 Great suggestion! I think I'd go with Shape the Sands, especially since I am weak against flying and thopter token decks are uber popular right now. Not sure where I'd make the room, but it's definitely going in my maybeboard.

If you are worried about flying matchups, I recommend, for the time being it is allowed in standard, using Archetype of Imagination has it evens up the playing field against dragon decks

Orbs of Warding it shuts down pretty much every burn/token deck there is. You stick that on turn 5 and give them I know you're screwed look.

also I would recomend changing 1 Treasure Cruise to a Dragonlord's Prerogative

trixster87 orbs of wandering does not kill red, and especially doesn't kill tokens. It just makes them slow down cause you can't get stoked and striked. If they have enough creature advantage they can still kill you cause the minus 1 damage isn't usually going to be enough. It's true that the stall does help but it doesn't really help enough that you'll be able to consistently take advantage of it with your tutelages.

Use Shape the Sands on your 0/6 and then Ultimate price it. LOL

wally, I think you forgot to add that it needs to be enchanted with Fruit of the First Tree. That would suck without it.

This deck seems really cool. I'm really impressed with it! Here're my thoughts: Everyone says Orbs of Warding is a bad card. They are correct. They are correct because of its mana cost. I don't think anyone will argue against the value of the effect- not being targetable and all your opponents creatures get -1/-0, rendering goblins and thopters into 0/1s and laughing at all their burn. A lot of decks are seriously messed up sheerly by having that out. Do you think this deck can durdle long enough to get that out safely?
Also, if you're worried about Aggro, I run a 1-of Briber's Purse and it serves me very well at any point in the game.

My suggestion for early control... Duress over negate.

Nevermind, see now that you already had it in an earlier version

@Vinman Good card. Just too expensive and would slow my game down too much in this meta.

Unravel the Aether may work against Hangarback Walker and has the versatility to save you against Impact Tremors. Only problem is that it rotates soon.

@daengburapa The only post rotation spell I know that could help is Disperse. And even that is just delay. There is a green "destroy all enchantments" card, but I'd have to review that against my mana curve. I'm trying to keep green down to a minimum.

I tried this deck with 2x Living Lore's and no Kothophed, Soul Hoarder. It had some interesting interactions, allowing second casts of Languish making it 4/4, Crux of Fate making it 5/5, Treasure Cruise making it 8/8 and Murderous Cut making it 5/5. If you are able to enchant it with Fruit of the First Tree, attack, then sacrifice, it is a nasty combo. The only problem is dealing with fliers.

still a good deck though. mine usually fires pretty fast for a white deck. only games that drag out are ones against a mill deck but i got a really good hand when i tested yours i had out 180 +2/+2 tokens turn 8 lol my hand was x2 sol ring/x3 land/x1 ajani/x1 rhox and i drew 2 beacons back to back. i havnt even looked at the new stuff i just play with friends and try to build stupid ass decks haha. as of right now with all my friends who play magic im undefeated with my white deck. last night i had all 3 of my rhox out at 9,000 life and layed out 9,000 tokens lol
