I can't decide between names, honestly. And I don't mind. This is only here as a personal reminder and to keep track of shenanigans.

Edit: I fixed the name. Now it's goofy.

Thats a perfect mix of the 2. I love it.

I run Thrun, the Last Troll main deck, along with Phyrexian Obliterator. Think about it.

I would playtest with Kird Ape

Kizer

Those are both really better in straight up B/G. Jund has lots of other powerful four drops like Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip and Olivia Voldaren that you don't need to maindeck thrun. Phyrexian Obliterator is too hard to cast and again, best left for version without red.

Oops, didn't see you commented here. Yeah, Obliterator is way too mana intensive for this deck. The threats, as previously stated, are optimal simply because they're easier to cast. I like Thrun for control match ups. If Control were more prominent in my meta, I would maindeck Thrun, however.

How has Olivia Voldaren performed for you maindeck?

July 30, 2015 1:33 p.m.

NoPantsParade says... #10

I like it a lot. It's more meta dependent. It's good for the grindy matches and eventually pulls the win off for me. I love it. I bring in another one against Jund, Burn, and other grindy matchups.

To me it just seems like vs jund would be bad because of all the removal and you couldn't get alot of value but I haven't tested her yet. I haven't had time to play the last few weeks but I want to run some games with some friends soon.

I played Jund earlier, and she won me the game. Granted we were both top decking, but she pulled out the win for me.

Not a comment but a question for you NoPantsParade . I'm building Jund and have everything but Twilight Mire. I've seen some lists with and without it. Would you say it helps a little or a lot?

August 5, 2015 11:51 a.m.

You can go without it. If you have Courser of Kruphix and/or 3+ Treetop Village, I'd play 1.

Eh, it's not necessary. It also helps with Scoozing the graveyard with the double green EOT, which has saved me a couple times from graveyard shenanigans.

Huh, thanks guys! I never thought about how much it can help with scavenging ooze. I'll try and pick one up later after I've played Jund for a while.

I was thinking about your match against Eris. What did you board in, and do you think that if you were going to a major tourney, would you adjust your board for the large amount of Affinity players?

Also, I'm guessing 4 Fulminator Mage is for Tron. Have you considered 1 Sowing Salt, or is it too slow against GR Tron?

August 8, 2015 12:28 a.m.

NoPantsParade says... #18

The 4 Mages are for Tron, yes.

As for boarding in, I brought in Shatterstorm, Kitchen Finks, and 1 Anger of the Gods. I should've brought in another Anger looking back. If there were more Affinity players, I don't think I'd adjust the board honestly. I might throw in another Shatterstorm if that were the case.

As for Sowing Salt, I don't have one on me at the moment. I think it does a lot to slow them down, but it's kind of useless once Karn or something has been. It'll definitely damage them if you hit any of their Tron lands, however.

buildingadeck says... #19

I was just curious because Sowing Salt screws me more than Fulminator Mage in the board as a Tron player; I began running a singleton Crucible of Worlds in the side to deal with the Mages. Of course, I'm about the only one who does that, so ya know.

I was just curious as to what you thought would take care of affinity better. The hard part about Shatterstorm and Anger of the Gods is that they can't hit Inkmoth Nexus. I guess you could Lightning Bolt it in response to the Equip going on the stack.

You hope you have a lightning bolt or Terminate. I'm thinking about putting in Volcanic Fallout myself

August 10, 2015 11:50 a.m.

buildingadeck says... #21

Volcanic Fallout at instant speed seems pretty good. It kills flipped Delvers, too. And you can kill Pestermite tokens. Nice twin combo you got there. Be a shame if it were to fall out.

bah-bammmm says... #22

its just an average jund deck what is the big deal?

August 24, 2015 10:36 p.m.

NoPantsParade says... #23

The fact that it's an average Jund deck.

August 24, 2015 10:53 p.m.

bah-bammmm says... #24

well the thing is is that anybody can build one and it isn't original.

August 24, 2015 11:15 p.m.

NoPantsParade says... #25

Isn't that half the decks on here? This isn't the only one. I don't see why this is such a big deal.
