While Mill appears to be more viable today than it has been for several years, it's an alt-win with this deck. The true power lay with the illusions, and the Lords that rule over them. Deceptively fast, you can build up a hex-proof army to stand at the ready. Regardless if your opponent believes they're real or not, when one of them hits, they hit hard!
All comments and constructive criticism welcomed, and of course the increase in deck-score (if you think it worthy!)
QUESTIONThinking of replacing my Negate,Cancel and
Summoner's Bane
with
Vapor Snag
and Mana Leak instead; lower mana-curve. Any suggestions?
UPDATEUpon reflection of the comments made, I am going to remove the "mill" aspect of this deck. The reason is two-fold;1) I believe that I have split my attention away from the true strength of the deck, and the cards that are being occupied by mill-type cards could be better used to pump the primary focus of the deck.2) I want to make an honest-to-god old-fashioned Mill2Win deck, and I don't have enough of the new Jaces to have him in two decks.
UPDATEWell, that's one FNM that I'm pretty happy with. Played it last night at an extended event, and I'm very pleased with my second-place finish. I was edged out in the end by a Stoneforge Mystic and
Sword of Body and Mind
combo. Still made him take it to 3 for the win, but all-in-all, very happy with how it played out. I had to drop the Spellskites at the last minute when I realized that I DIDN'T have any, and I ran out of time to go through the store's binder to see if they had any to sell. Regardless, I was impressed.
