Your deck inspired me to make my own BW deck. Mine is much more token based than human and demon based tho. which leads me to ask my next question, how do you add cards to a list on this site if tey aren't out yet?
January 16, 2012 3:48 p.m.
You would usually add a card that is kinda like it and say that it stands in.
Oh yea that vault of the archangel thing would rock and be much better then the onyx mages anyway. Not quite as effecient but nice.

I may be blind, but I didn't see this loophole pointed out yet. If you have the Archdemon out and nothing to sac, and you know you can't afford to take the 9dmg, just give your creatures lifelink during your upkeep using Vault of the Archangels. He'll deal 9 damage to you, but since he has lifelink you just gain it right back. It'll nullify Archdemon's drawback till you can pull out an answer.

Because of the printing of Unburial Rites from your deck.
January 17, 2012 9:15 a.m.
Thaifortune that is brilliant! I did not think of that!
broodwarjc the printing of Grafdigger's Cage does not completely nullify all use of flashback and things like that. Unburial Rites is a small part of the deck. I could sideboard out the unburial rites for the cage if needed.

I put it in the discription. Apparently other people arnt having this problem but Ravenous Demon will not link or appear in the deck for whatever reason so Im using the myr to get the cards up to 60.

Other than the slight tapped out error. Everything looks good. I like this deck a lot.
January 19, 2012 2:16 a.m.
Thank you! The other error is that it is not listing the decks top score. Still says it only made #10 when it was 2nd yesterday. =(

Who cares about top score? The masses aren't always right my friend!
I think you should keep toying with the mana curve. Consider dropping Unburial Rites for Morbid Plunder or another 3 drop.
I'm also going to recommend Sun Titan again because he is SO good and really helps you get your humans back. i.e., what happens when the Demon gets a Pacifism ?
January 19, 2012 1:08 p.m.
I would probably suggest Mentor of the Meek. Decks like this could use a draw machine, and you can easily get draw with all the tokens that enter the field.
January 20, 2012 9:57 a.m.
@ Strangelove Yea i know but this is the first deck ive made thats gotten to top ten so im kinda proud of it, it also changed so It does indeed say 2nd. Also I just love unburial rites flashback and the fact that I dont need to waste the mana actually casting the demon after returning it to my hand. I guess Sun Titan is ok I just dont really want him in here, as well as the fact that I have none. Hopefully if they have pacifism I will have sideboarded in the Ray of Revelation Otherwise yea, I decided to out the Altar's Reap in favor of Mentor of the Meek which is better repeatable draw in this deck but when you throw up a situation like that im wondering if I should find space to put it back in. It would be annoying, not crippling but annoying if I could not get rid of a pacified Archdemon of Greed.
@ McChisel Im not really sure why I have not thought of that yet, yes thank you the mentor is going in as a two off, I already playetested and it is an amazing draw engine, sometimes two to three cards a turn. With Thraben Doomsayer it basically turns into every turn, 1 Draw a card.
January 20, 2012 11:06 a.m.
Also what about Skirsdag Flayer? I mean thats unconditional repeatable removal in this deck. Maybe as a two of instead of Go for the Throat
January 20, 2012 11:12 a.m.
i like it just at in that four doomed traveler, thats all i could say about it
January 20, 2012 4:12 p.m.
I would leave Go for the Throat, while it's an instant that can be cast in T2, Skirsdag Flayer starts removing at T4, if he gets there (1/1)On the other hand Skirsdag isn't limited, unlike Throat
January 20, 2012 10:04 p.m.
Yea thats the thing I was worried about, I mean it soaks up removal as well cause in this deck its super easy to wipe the opposing field. but yea for a simple 2 mana gftt is right there. i guss id have to test it.

in my build I like to play Elder Cathar too, you can sac him to the demon to make him a 10/10 instead. my build is more basic than this but check it out and let me know what you think deck:demon-fodder.
January 21, 2012 11:09 p.m.
It will help fetch answers when I need them, very useful considering my sideboard is eclectic. And can get whatever piece I need when I need it. I see no real reason to run the Elder Cathar, yes it can boost Champion of the Parish and turn the Demon into a 10/10 but thats not really needed on the late game, i mean whats the real difference between a 9/9 flying trampler and a 10/10 flying trampler? Now if i start running Skirsdag Flayer I might see a more reliable use for him.
January 22, 2012 12:09 a.m.
does it has to be a B card? I'm thinking of an Elite Inquisitor as replacement of Elder. 2 drop, amazing card to hold until your demon arrives.
January 22, 2012 12:50 a.m.
hmm.... well i dont actually have the elder in the list and dont really plan on putting him in, I like Elite Inquisitor, seems like more of a sideboard card though, against the three other tribes.
January 22, 2012 2:26 a.m.
Can you use flayer's ability during upkeep when you would sac the human? I mean on the same human? If you can, then I like it over Tribute to hunger. I'm pretty sure you can, but im not 100%.
January 22, 2012 10:20 p.m.
No you cant, im pretty sure sacrificing humans is a cost and costs cant be payed twice. Besides Tribute to Hunger is the only thing I have against hexproof besides the 1 BSZ
January 22, 2012 11:12 p.m.
A few things I think could be added...
Village Canibals - with the number of humans you'll be DELIBERATELY killing off, why not have what will basically be another Champion of the Parish?
Skirsdag Flayer - Another good human sac card, that allows for perpetual removal? Hells yeah!
Fiend Of Shadows - Seems like a good secondary win condition to the demon.
Tragic Slip - With your sacrificing, morbid should be no problem, which makes this basically a one mana double (and then some) dismember. How is this NOT amazing for this deck?

you can add that new land... Vault of the Archangel.
