Ogoki: Knight of the White Orchid says "If an opponent controls more lands than you, you may search your library for a Plains card and put that onto the battlefield, then shuffle your library." It doesn't say "Basic Plains" it just says "Plains" therefore he can fetch Canopy Vista and Prairie Stream since they both have the sub-type "Plains". ;)

Awesome deck! But you only have Ojutai's Command to interact with your opponent game 1? Why not run a couple of Silkwrap or Valorous Stance
November 13, 2015 6:58 a.m.
LukeVianna2, idk what you're talking about when you say I only have Ojutai's Command to interact with my opponent during game1? Do you mind explaining what you mean by that?
I already run 3 Valorous Stance in the sideboard. I am in the midst of trying to place Silkwrap in my sideboard (I haven't tried the deck in my meta yet so once I do, Silkwrap may make it to the mainboard). I have placed 2 of them in there replacing a Valorous Stance and the 3rd Mastery of the Unseen.

What I mean is that you don't touch your opponent. You just let him do what he wants. All you can do is counter a creature spell twice. Let's say you are playing against UB aristocrat. The opponent will be able to easily flood the board with creatures to make a Nantuko Husk huge and unblockable with Whirler Rogue and you can't do anything about it.
November 13, 2015 7:09 a.m.
LukeVianna2, I get what mean now. Ojutai's Command is mainly used to bring back my creatures at Instant speed. Only time it's used to counter a creature spell is when they cast a big threat.
As for your example, I do have things that can stop it for a turn (or even a few turns with the right draws) as I can tap it down with Bounding Krasis or I can bounce it back to it's controller's hands with Harbinger of the Tides. If they're going to just sac their board away and win with him swinging and I use one of those tricks, they could potentially fall pretty far behind.

Like the concept, had a lot of fun with my Bant CoCo list. In my experience with it Stratus Dancer and Hidden Dragon Slayer were great in the list. They paired well with Ana and provided more means of interacting with the opponent. Harbinger was situational but just "ok" doing little against a field of rhinos. I also ran 2 Harden Scales which (because of my heavier morph package and Ana) made games I started with it seem impossible to lose but it was real lackluster post board and as a late draw.

LeoBruno, surprisingly, Siege Rhino isn't played in my meta besides 2 or 3 players. I do like Harbinger of the Tides, and think it's, like you said, ok. Hidden Dragonslayer does help against Siege Rhino.
I was also thinking of making this a tad bit more interactive. Any thoughts on that?

I would main deck Dromoka's Command moving Mastery to the side. You are already good at gumming up the board and having a proactive way to push through defenders (especially with Raptor) will go a long way. Mastery of the Unseen is still great against control and I would side against those matches. I would also main deck Stratus Dancer over Bounding Krasis as evasion and protection will win more games than a surprise tap. In my version I played a couple Kytheon, Hero of Akros Flip which, once flipped allowed me to force opposing blockers into my wall of Deathmist Raptors but it didn't work as well as I'd hoped (only really relevant in one game I played). Den Protector gives your limited reactive cards more use as well as being another source of evasion, which was key in my games as I could easily build and maintain a board presence but found it difficult to attack profitably, so I would try and up that number to the full 4 at the expense of perhaps one Harbinger of Tides.
December 2, 2015 4:43 p.m.
If your meta lacks Rhinos then Gideon's Reproach may be better than Stance in the board and just might be better overall if you add Hidden Dragonslayer to the board.
December 2, 2015 4:51 p.m.
LeoBruno: The Dromoka's Command mainboard I can jummp on since there is a lot of Silkwrap and forcing big things to fight Deathmist Raptor is just awesome. Hidden Dragonslayer will replace Valorous Stance for sure. The one thing I'm questioning is Stratus Dancer. I have it in the sideboard for the control matchup, but if I mainboard it; when do I ever cast it for ? The evasion is good though.

Consider it your insurance policy. Just about every deck runs instants or sorceries that greatly impact their game plan or allow them to recover their board state. Stratus Dancer allows you to shut them down and maintain the board state you've built with CoCo. I would cast it morphed every chance I got assuming I had 5 mana available. Even if they don't cast anything for it to hit you can still un-morph for a decent threat. That and (at least in game one) everyone's going to assume it's a Den Protector which you can use to your advantage. Just my opinion but the Dancer was the all-star of my Bant CoCo deck.

LeoBruno: Thank's for the tip! I'm probably gonna play this tonight at FNM and see how it goes (I'll add an update with its results).

I feel this deck could benefit from some bigger bodies. I'm getting the vibes it's too small to make it work as well as you want. Not sure on a lot of smaller Bant creatures in standard but that would be my guess. It's also not unheard of to play a 2-4 4CC creatures with CoCo. However, I'm not sure either at the 4 spot. Surrak, the Hunt Caller possibly. Woodland Wanderer is out, unfortunately.
December 17, 2015 11:22 p.m.
HairyManBack: That's the whole idea behind having Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit she'll make the bodies bigger. I am trying out a build that runs Wingmate Roc. It can't be hit with Collected Company but it's definitely a bomb card. The biggest bomb I got in the deck so far has got to be Warden of the First Tree or Deathmist Raptor. I have found that Warden of the First Tree is by far my best creature. He has won me most of my games.
So far the deck at FNM is 3-3-2. After tonight, I'm gonna update the list as well as the FNM results. Do you have any suggestions for cards for the deck? Surrak, the Hunt Caller I was leaning towards because on turn 4 he'll pretty much always have Haste. And like you said Woodland Wanderer is out since I don't run a 4th color.

I been thinking hard on what big creatures would be competitive here. I'm scratching my head with Bant. Wingmate Roc could be an idea. But high on the curve. I play Temur aggro-ish which has a lot of options because of red. But with white I'm stuck except Surrak, the Hunt Caller.
If you were going strong on Forest Nissa, Vastwood Seer Flip would be a possibility. But I looked at your mana base and needed mana. It would be awkward.
December 21, 2015 2:51 p.m.
HairyManBack: I actually forgot to update this list Friday. I ran a couple of Wingmate Roc in my deck but never seen any of them because Collected Company was always a better play and got me the cheaper creatures. Nissa, Vastwood Seer Flip could be a good one but the problem is I don't need Forests. I usually need Plains.
December 21, 2015 2:59 p.m.
HairyManBack: Also I want to throw out the idea of removing Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit. I've found her Bolster to actually not be as strong as I would've liked it to be. By removing her I do lose the Bolster effect but my mana becomes more fluent and it's easier for me to cast my cards on curve. What do you think about this idea?

I think reducing or eliminating Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit is the route to go. I liked the originality about it. Though she doesn't impress me you really liked her. I always try to keep an open mind to different builds. :) However, I've seen some CoCo decks run 1x. That seemed like a nice niche. If you go that route you would have 9 early threats: Warden of the First Tree, Knight of the White Orchid, and Anafenza. Seems well rounded. Your CoCo could then hit more 3CC drops. I've also read a good article about when to play Den Protector 2nd turn if applicable. Then getting him back with another Den. But that was Abzan. Might change it here.
Considering your meta I would still run 4x Den Protector. I would also again think about 1-2x Nissa, Vastwood Seer Flip. More so now if your running 2x Wingmate Roc and 23 lands (with 7 fetches). You do have Orchid but I think it might be worth considering. Playing Roc now your going a bit more long range. Nissa could find a spot.
Other thoughts are less relevant but thoughts: Heir of the Wilds, Rattleclaw Mystic, and Yasova Dragonclaw.
I do like your addition of Silkwrap. Looks like it goes with the mana curve smoother. I'm also thinking 24 lands might be an idea, too.

I missed your first comment about Nissa. I see your point on Forest. And I hear what your saying about Roc. If you did go Surrak, the Hunt Caller instead maybe Nissa would be a bit more relevant?
December 21, 2015 9:56 p.m.
HairyManBack: I'm gonna try replacing Wingmate Roc with Surrak, the Hunt Caller. I do want to keep the deck as a CoCo based deck. I just gotta think on what would replace 3x Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit. Any thoughts on 3 CMC creatures I don't have/could add? I've added the 4th Den Protector back in.

The only other creature I can think that would even be worth looking at is Managorger Hydra. Otherwise Dragonclaw, which seems somewhat underwhelming.
Too bad your not heavy on White. Archangel of Tithes would be a thought instead of Surrak. Personally, I love Surrak. But that is in Temur aggro which is filthy with fat haste dudes and subversion.
By dropping Harbinger of the Tides MB you could move more towards traditional G/W Aggro. It would look more like the base with CoCo instead of Gideon, Ally of Zendikar. That would give more credit for Nissa and maybe Tithes?

Oh, and Jace. Idk. I could see some synergy with Deathmist Raptor and Den Protector. Perhaps even casting another CoCo. Sounds weird. Maybe going back to 2x more instant/sorcery instead of Silkwrap to fit a bit better.
