Goblin Rabblemaster? Synergizes pretty well with Norin the Wary. Either way, cool concept

What about the soul sisters Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant? With all these tokens coming into play, they could be a great source of life gain.

You could possibly cut a single Oblivion Ring for a Stasis Snare. It only hits creatures, and the double could be detrimental to run all 3. But in all other aspects, it's an O-Ring with flash.

Also, since Pillow Fort games naturally run long, would a singleton Avacyn, Angel of Hope be out of the question?
January 28, 2016 11:26 a.m.
I chose not to run soul sisters in this deck because it is counter to the purpose of the deck which is to altogether prevent damage so life is not of large importance to me. As for Stasis Snare I choose to run Oblivion Ring as an answer to planeswalkers and other non creature permenants. If I need instant speed creature removal I utilize Path to Exile. Additionally for Ajani Vengeant I don't see him surviving for very long and other than his final ability I can say that I require his other abilities so in most cases he would end up as dead weight.
January 28, 2016 11:54 a.m.
As for Avacyn she is dead weight in hand for an incredibly long time and becomes removed to easily by path to exile. At best I would run Elspeth, Knight-Errant which offers fuel to my decks core but I Favor the removal potential of the other 2 elspeth as I would rather remove than protect.

What about Norn's Annex instead of Archangel of Tithes? It's easier to cast and the cost is more restrictive. Also harder to kill than the angel.
January 28, 2016 12:28 p.m.
Archangel also stops you from blocking too, which I only just noticed.
January 28, 2016 12:32 p.m.
Annex is far to easy to by pass as most players would happily pay 2 life to let a buffed creature through. That and you may not have noticed but white is not a restrictive cost for me as I posses only 2 lands out of 22 that do not produce white mana. Beyond that as I require a high devotion to make effective use of my finishers I require the 3 devotion that Angel produces as a lose of which would inhibit my general play. Alternatively angel also triggers my Purporos and impact tremors so I can even use it offensively which gives it extremely versatility and efficiency in this deck. Thankyou though for the comment I alway appreciate seeing constructive critisim and differing view points.

Archangel of Tithes doesn't stop you from blocking. It says "As long as Archangel of Tithes is attacking, creatures can't block unless their controller pays for each of those creatures."
If it said as long as she is tapped, then yes. But it says attacking. And ArchFline is right--Norn's Annex isn't nearly as good as Archangel of Tithes, or Ghostly Prison for that matter. Giving someone the option to pay life instead of mana for attackers doesn't really work.

Yoked Ox is a good cheap blocker. Some older cards with the rampage ability might help as well.

I don't really rely on creatures as my ETB damage comes from token generation. As well I'm most situations I'm not expecting to ever get attacked due to the deck being a pillow fort

Instead of Elspeth Tirel have you thought about putting Nahiri, the Lithomancer
February 22, 2016 9:08 a.m.
I removed sun's champion as her mana cost was often detrimental to my curve, Tirel is my only source of life gain and a possible win condition with her final role down so she is a must. That's why the choice is Knight-Errant or sun's and I feel that knight is more realistic in a competitive situation. Also Nahiri is not modern so that's not an option.

One of my friends has a really good combo deck with Norin and Soul's Attendant/Soul Warden.
Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit might be fun as well.

The problem with adding more features like that to the deck is that I must first find cards to remove and a lot of what I currently run is more important to the deck. If you do suggest cards to add please offer your reasoning behind what and why I should replace it over another piece of the deck. As always thank you for commenting I appreciate the feedback.

Otherworldly Journey feels like it should have a place in this deck. It's an instant blink to allow you to dodge removal, and give you more ETB triggers.
Ghostway fills the exact same role, but triggers your entire board, though at three mana it feels a little tighter on your deck. It's a great anti wrath card VS control decks. It does remove your tokens from the field, but it allows you to keep from getting completely reset and loosing the game.
February 22, 2016 5:36 p.m.
I like the idea but at a core they don't tend to work well as I only have 12 creatures 3 of which are likely never to be creatures and another 3 of which flicker themselves. So at best I could utilize the additional flickers on 6 creatures or my tokens (however the tokens would die if I flickered them so that's not a solid choice). I had originally had Cloudshift in deck for the use of flicker but for the reasons I outlined I had to remove them as they often felt like a dead card.

Sweet! +1 and a bookmark from me. This is one I want to watch. :-)

UPDATE: I have noticed a bit of slow pacing with this deck so I removed Oblivion Ring in favor of Angel's Grace in order to have an "oh sh*t" button. I feel that the change is reasonable given that this deck tends to play very passive and non-interactive. Tell me your thoughts do you agree with the choice?

I think if that's a concern, you have better options than an "Oh Shit" button. What is seeming slow about it? Your curve, or is draw an issue (as it can be with Boros)?
Simian Spirit Guide is a nice little mana booster, but it's a pricy card.
As for draw, I could see Dangerous Wager or any number of other budget red cards working just fine (especially for the dreaded second Purphoros or Norin).
March 30, 2016 11:26 a.m.
Draw power I have no real issues with as I generally play conservatively and can generate pretty consistently with norin + mentor. The reason I removed the card is because it was a bit of dead weight and slowed me down because of its use. As 3 mana for a temporary removal that dies to Abrupt Decay and the like. This coupled with the fact that I had alternative (and often permanent forms of) removal it just didn't warrent a spot as the spot could be better used by more valuable cards.

Sideboard looks great. I can't believe I forgot to mention Leyline of Sanctity! Or that it has gotten so inexpensive compared to how it was. I think I spent close to $90 on my playset.
