that looks very nice, but considering that i already own all the creatures in the deck, getting talara's battalion would cost me some more money... thanks for the suggestion! but i think i'll stick to my Ezuri's and elflords.

Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx synergizes well with Nissa, Vital Force untaping for more mana and giving you a 5/5.

Guinessthemenace true, but nykthos adds another 7 dollars per copy, and i already get flooded, so i probably wont need it.

Deck looks pretty solid, Elves is a very powerful deck! I would splash white so that your sideboard is a bit more powerful. White gives your sideboard access to cards like Rest in Peace and Stony Silence.

yeah probably, white does seem better than black, which has cards that you can play in any color,

my maybeboard is now the cards i would put in to splash white (cards for mainboard and sideboard), is there anything else i need?

The only missing cards I see are Rest in Peace and maybe Leyline of Sanctity.

and i dont think im gonna give you my copy of Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx either. Too much power there.

March 27, 2017 6:56 p.m.

ndgipper haha no i'll always board in reclamation sage against your tokens

also i dont need nykthos, its only good for cards with an X cost, too much cost for not enough value.

Love it. +1. I don't know if Nissa is really important in the deck mostly because, if your that late in the game when you have 7 lands to flip her you are probably not in a great position. With elves you want to aim for a turn 4-5 win. Great deck

Haha thanks! I put in nissa's because they're cooler than Wood Elves but serve a similar purpose, once i find the money I'll replace all the nissas for collected company

If you are looking at not playing Cavern of Souls you have a few options, but they won't produce mana for you. Gaea's Herald fits your theme, but can be countered. Leyline of Lifeforce can get around that issue if you have it in your opening hand. Within the upcoming set there is the Prowling Serpopard. It does not fit the elf tribal theme, but can not be countered, and prevents creatures of yours from being countered. A minor distinction from the other two cards, especially since you are not running any counters.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll probably stick to gaea's herald, so my opponent can waste a counterspell on it , but maybe a sideboard serpopard

What about Nissa Revane

April 4, 2017 7:53 p.m.

TheFatman35 in sideboard, because usually life, and the very slight chance of ultimating isn't important. but i like using it so sideboard.

replacing your Forests with better forests will ultimately make your deck 10034% better on average and guarantees that you'll never get Swamped.

Also, forget about adding in black cards, or white cards. Who needs Rest in Peace or Dismember when you can splash for blue, which opens up the combo of Island + Storm Crow. How could you possibly pass up such a great win-con?

Also also, elves and you're not running Hydra Broodmaster or any of the other hydras? WHO ARE YOU?

im the Black Lotus eater you can tell by my nonexistent wallet i wonder what happened to it

I think the card I would want for this is Lifecrafter's Bestiary. The constant stream of cards should be very difficult for opponents to overcome.
For fighting removal, Heroic Intervention seems like a huge boon to the green mage.

I have also heard that Lifecrafter's Bestiary is amazing in elf tribal!!! I'd definitely give that some consideration. It helps reduce the luck factor with a powerful draw engine.

Thank you both for commenting, the only problem I have with both cards is that they're not creatures. My deck, once upgraded, can easily consistently get out spellskite if I need it, using chord of calling, but I can't with noncreature artifacts or instants. Heroic intervention is something I'll think about, but bestiary is a definite no. Having tested it months ago, I found that The scry is very good, but I generally topdeck non lands anyway, and I'd rather cast an elvish archdruid or ezuri for 3.

You NEEEEEED 4 Heritage Druid. It is amazing. AMAZING. Hope this helps

May 8, 2017 9:38 p.m.

yup, thats something im considering, what would i cut to add in 2 more heritage druid? I'd like to be able to keep running Talara's Battalion as a 2x, and im really hesitant on cutting many things right now...
