"Greatness at any cost"
This deck is built around the ability of Ghoulcaller Gisa to sac our creatures to make a load of zombies, and make life a misery for our opponents.
Token Makers:
Army of the Damned: Because you can never have enough zombies.
Abhorrent Overlord: Huge flying beater that can potentially bring a ton more little fliers to the field. Plus his upkeep effect can be a small board control with cards like Grave Pact in play.
Bloodline Keeper
: Sometimes the ground can be clogged full of blockers, so having the option to take it to the sky is pretty good. Also can just sack the tokens he makes to Ghoulcaller Gisa to help make more zombies. We also run a few vampires too, so his flipped lord ability will be useful.
Cemetery Reaper: Exiles creatures from yards, and poof, makes a zombie.
Grave Titan: Helps make more zombies just by ETB and attacking. Also huge body deathtoucher too.
Liliana's Reaver
: Early game aggressor that can pound at our opponents life totals, make them discard and get a zombie for our troubles. Also a deathtoucher so a good blocker too.
Skirsdag High Priest: Probably one of the more formidable token engines in the deck. We will easily be triggering his morbid clause to activate his ability, and can just tap some newly made zombies to make the demon tokens.
Spoils of Blood
: Not exactly a token engine, but should the board be completely wiped, there is this ace in the hole we can use to ensure we benefit the wrath more than the caster.
Lords:
Cemetery Reaper: Can remove other opponents creatures from the yard if they try to Reanimate Dead something, or even one of ours if necessary and thus makes another zombie.
Death Baron: Making our zombies have deathtouch seems legit.
Lord of the Undead: Can bring a zombie back from the yard to hand.
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed: Though the undying doesn't benefit our tokens, it's the creatures we can sac to Gisa that makes it so we make X zombies for one black and not lose a creature. And makes it so our non-token creatures can survive board wipes.
Zombie Master
: Combo's with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth making our zombies unblockable killing machines, and being able to regenerate them is also handy, given our deck can make a ton of mana it is possible to save our tokens from most board wipes.
Ramp:
Burnished Hart: Always nice to get more swamps.
Crypt Ghast: Doubles our swamps mana, and the extort is a nice bonus.
Liliana of the Dark Realms: Mostly gonna plus her to ensure land drops, though her -3 can become a political tool if someone has an outrageous creature on board that needs to die.
Nirkana Revenant: Doubles our mana, and should we have any excess mana left over we can pump her into a huge beast.
Sol Ring: Sol Ring.
Expedition Map: Mostly to grab useful utility lands like Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth or Cabal Coffers.
Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx: Black is notorious for mostly having or so generating mana through that will be easy and a lot.
Cabal Coffers: Essentially doubles what we can make.
Crypt of Agadeem: Because we are in the business of sacrificing our creatures, we can make more mana this way too.
Recursion:
Champion of Stray Souls, Hell's Caretaker' It That Betrays, Lord of the Undead, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, Sepulchral Primordial, Animate Dead, Palace Siege, Beacon of Unrest, Dread Return, Rise of the Dark Realms and Whip of Erebos.
Combo:
Blood Artist/Zulaport Cutthroat + Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood.
Ghoulcaller Gisa + Thornbite Staff.
Ghoulcaller Gisa + Thornbite Staff + Grave Pact/Dictate of Erebos.
Ghoulcaller Gisa + Gray Merchant of Asphodel + Sheoldred, Whispering One/Hell's Caretaker/Volrath's Stronghold + Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood.
Filth/
Zombie Master
+ Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth.
There are probably a few more interactions, but I don't wanna clog this space up.
Anyway hope you like and thumbs up if you do. Cheers.
