Have you considered Foe-Razer Regent? Its a little expensive, but seems worth it when you have Eldrazi Monument. Golden Guardian Flip could also be a really fun card with Grothama. Anyways, I think Grothama is one of the most interesting creatures to work around since The Gitrog Monster, there's just so much potential, and the risk of giving your opponent cards just makes it all the more fun. Glad to see someone else giving the wurm some love.

skoobysnackz dang it I looked at Foe-Razer but I guess I glazed over it every time... Definitely going to try and find a spot for him. I dunno if Guardian fits all that well except for fighting once, I'll think about it when I finally get to play the deck on Tuesday. Thank you for your thoughts.

So I just milled myself, it was hilarious but I added Kozilek, Butcher of Truth to deal with that in the future... Going to think about other eldrazi and Elixir of Immortality. Need to work on the mana as well...

PunkJkr3 It isn't a bad idea but so far what happens is I get Mossbridge Troll or something else large, fight my commander, draw a bunch, then play Myojin of Life's Web, then get every creature in hand for free which usually wins the game next turn. I did kill one person with commander damage in a game but Grothama has really just been a ridiculous draw spell for the most part. Also the only ways to give Grothama double strike in mono green I can think of are equipment which I already have a lot of. Still worth thinking about, thanks.
And thank you to everyone that has upvoted and commented.

ctwizzle well I almost got to use it but it got destroyed so I dunno... But theoretically it is totally busted. If it is on Ghalta and he fights Grothama then I draw 12 and Grothama comes back for free. If it is on Grothama and one of my opponents fights him and dies I get their creature. I'd say it is one of the better equipment you could have in the deck.

I am interested in an budget Deck for Grothama too. If you look at mtggoldfish budget decks there are always around 60 $ Maybe you can do a optional 30 $ for improvement later....

Predatory Urge (I see it in your maybe board), Magebane Armor (fighting is non-combat), Ulvenwald Tracker, Sprouting Phytohydra and Arena.
Deadbridge Goliath could be killed by attack/fighting then used for counters from the graveyard.
Thopter Assembly gives you an airforce and 5 weenies to attack your boss with every other turn.

I love this version of the build! I built mine Shai-Hulud from scratch without netdecking and I'm happy to find that I discovered the popular synergies on my own. The challenge for myself was giving up so many good slots for the worm theme I wanted to maintain. Your comments brought about a very important realization for me that I was playing wrong! Myojin of Life's Web plays out any number of creatures from your hand. I was playing it as 1 counter = 1 creature.
