Fun stuff, definite +1

Only suggestions I have are the Butcher of Malakir for maximum sac outlet and Underworld Connections for additional card draw. Maybe Sorin, Lord of Innistrad ? The emblem rocks for tokens and the +1 gives nice chump blockers to fuel teysa

I used to run Butcher of Malakir but I found it expensive and usually unnecessary by the time I have it. Underworld Connections doesn't do it for me. I would be encouraged to run it if I could untap that land more. And I wouldn't know what to take out. Sorin, Lord of Innistrad is going into another deck of mine. It fits better in there.

I appreciate the feedback!

I really like this deck +1.Only thing I's change is putting one or two Elspeths in. It actually wouldn't matter which one's personally, I feel they would do good in their own ways. My least favorite is Elspeth Tirel since she nukes the field of all non-tokens and non-land permanents. So I guess Elspeth, Knight-Errant and Elspeth, Sun's Champion would do nicel

Thanks for the feedback! I would like an Elspeth but she's out of my price range and I haven't run into anyone trading any unfortunately. If I were to acquire one do you have any suggestions on what to take out?

Could probably trade the Requiem Angel for an Elspeth. I'd recommend Elspeth, Sun's Champion of course.

I wish I had one. And that's the one I'd consider getting first or only. I know I love my Liliana's ultimate but I don't expect to get it. If the first ability I can use with a planeswalker isn't useful enough, then I don't think it's worth running. It would be a dead space. 6 mana for 3 creatures at worst isn't god awful. That's why I would run it before any other ones. Though an emblem making my non planeswalker permanent's indestructible would be nice. Thanks freezerboy, I will try it out if I get a Sun's Champion, worth a shot. I really like Requiem Angel though lol. It is hilarious with Teysa out and killing off black tokens that aren't spirits.

After examining it again, I think the other two lillianas would be more beneficial (Unless you run Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth , then it works wonders.) If your on a budget, I'd suggest Liliana Vess . and Sorin, Lord of Innistrad is good for making more blockers.

I traded my Vess away long ago :/. I really want an Urborg and Cabal Coffers. I have this Liliana for fetching lands. I would love to have Vess again. Thanks for the suggestions!

I play this kind of deck too and I feel it's a bit slow..IMO cards like Land tax or Weathered Wayfarer can help in here. I'll also add Emeria Angel for tokens.

I ran Emeria Angel in here when it was Vish Kal and then some time for early Teysa. It never really helped out as much as I'd like. I have a Land Tax in my Esper deck because it has no other way to fetch lands. This deck at least has Black Market , Crypt Ghast , and Liliana of the Dark Realms on top of the mana rocks. I wish there were better ways for me to mana ramp.
Also, every time I get Land Tax out in my Esper people don't like it for some reason and try to destroy it. I have no idea why.
Thanks for the feedback :P

Curious to know how you like using Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite . I've thought about putting one in my Teysa deck, but didn't know if it was really worth it or not.

It's nice when you have a bunch of tokens out but she definitely has a bulls eye on her head. I was once in a three person game and I was being teamed up on and I got Storm Herd for like twenty pegasii and it won because I had her out. Maw of the Obzedat is functionally similar as I've swung with enough things to get one token unblocked and sacrificed enough for the kill.

Interesting tactic. I'll have to keep that one in mind if I ever change out my sacrifice deck and add in white instead of red or green.

You shouldn't put in your commander to your main deck, if you want to keep the value you should class it as sideboard.

She's not.

freezerboy says... #18

Why would it matter if your commander is in your deck?

April 8, 2014 10:06 p.m.

squadcarxmar says... #19

I've always wondered that too. Shouldn't really matter but Teysa isn't. The Dragon's Maze one is but not my general lol.

I have a teysa combo deck. You use painters servant to make all permanents black (or white) than sack three tokens, get three tokens, repeat.

Arthdirith says... #21

Painter's Servant is banned in EDH, but if it wasn't the correct choice would be black in my opinion. they you get black white spirits instead of white. after sacing them you just get new ones and its an infinite exile cycle.

April 13, 2014 6:34 a.m.

freezerboy says... #22

Darkest Hour does the same thing and it's not banned.

April 13, 2014 6:38 a.m.

Arthdirith says... #23

Except then they are only black, you couldn't sac any white creatures since there are none. unless the judge text changed saying by adding "In addition"

April 13, 2014 6:47 a.m.

squadcarxmar says... #24

I traded my Painter's because of that lol. And yeah I'm only willing to sideboard infinite combos.

April 13, 2014 11:37 a.m.

freezerboy says... #25

It does negate the white creature sac ability, but when you're going infinite...does it really matter? Ashnod's Altar +Debt to the Deathless = dead
