Yea, I sided in Domri in a mirror match and he did a lot of work for me. The other card that helped a lot for him was Mirran Crusader, which also helps a lot with the BG/x matchups. As much as I love Boros Charm, my goal with Domri is to give everything double strike, so I may drop it. I'll probably drop a Lightning Helix or a Path to Exile instead of Atarka's Command for the rest. I'm feeling like with domri' fight he gives me more removal allowing me to drop a path. I dont know, I'll play Around with it.

Testing out Knight of the Reliquary for grindy matchups, I don't like Tribal Flames. Really wish Bloodbraid Elf was modern legal...

I have speculation that they might unban Bloodbraid Elf because it was Deathrite Shaman that was really breaking Naya and jund

Bloodbraid Elf has been banned from the start of modern, Wizards is "scared of it", meanwhile they're cool with Siege Rhino even though it's so much better. IF they do, I'll be getting a playset. I'm hoping to get some soon, cause it'll be more than Shardless Agent I bet.

Awesome deck! look insanely fun. Have you considered a few manlands?
Stirring Wildwood Raging Ravine or even faster Treetop Village

Nixin72 um Bloodbraid Elf was used in modern for years.... It was the icon of jund.... And yes with rhino out being fine which is significantly better in MOST cases (it can't potentially bring out a lili like elf does)

I've considered them, yes. The issue is that I really dislike that they enter tapped :/ I want to stick with the aggro zoo, so adding tap lands makes me a lot slower. I might consider 1 man land to fetch when I side in Knight of the Reliquary, otherwise, I'd probably do Gavony Township as the only utility land. But I'm hesitant to go midrange zoo

Jamesfurrow- Was it? I'd been told it was always on the ban list from when modern first became an official format. I've only been getting into modern in the past few months, so I apologize for that misinformation :P

have you tried Boros Reckoner?

April 5, 2015 6:59 p.m.

Nixin72 says... #10

Boros Reckoner is actually one I've been considering. I'm thinking of moving towards a more midrange build, so I'm unsure, but He's amazing pressure against aggro, which is most of my meta, so it would be a good card to consider. Thinking of moving more midrange... Thoughts? More Voice of Resurgence and cheap beat stick creatures while avoiding Tarmogoyf, cause I'm building this in paper.

Jamesfurrow says... #11

If going mid range Id suggest reckoner for sure. Some also run Stuffy Doll and Blasphemous Act so they can 1. Wrath the field. And 2. Reckoner and stuffy doll will through an ability deal 13 damage each to the opponent. Also mid range versions tend to run 1-2 Lightning Helix for life stability and removal. Other creatures to consider be Restoration Angel ,Thragtusk,Vigor, Voice of Resurgence, Stormbreath Dragon, Thundermaw Hellkite, Courser of Kruphix, Ghor-Clan Rampager

Nixin72 says... #12

Lol, definetely nOt stuffy doll, that seems far too jank... Trying to stick with competitive. Blasphemous Act I might sideboard, it seems really good in some matchups. Thragtusk I'd sideboard. In modern, I tend to prefer Thundermaw Hellkite because i can more likely efficiently trade with more creatures. Like Tarmogoyf, Siege Rhino, Tasigur, the Golden Fang, etc. I'm not going to run courser for the sole reason that I don't want too many expensive cards :P cause budget. So I'm having voice at the most expensive card. As for Ghor-Clan Rampager, I'm considering going up to a 4th.

You forget monstrous and pro white of stormbreath... It's amazing resilence

April 6, 2015 10:03 a.m.

Nixin72 says... #14

I'm not forgetting monstrosity, I just think the likely hood of getting 7 mana available it is pretty slim. And it avoids Path to Exile, but that's just one spell. Where as the other efficiently blocks moderns toughest creatures. Stormbreath gets away with blocking a rhino, but that's about it. What are your thoughts on Batterskull?

April 6, 2015 10:44 a.m.

Jamesfurrow says... #15

Um usa... celestial colonade Geist of Saint Traft and its token, Restoration Angel it shuts those down. Also midrange can typically have 6-7 mana especially when using green. You don't typically monstrous but you can to help put pressure.

If you want to use Batterskull that's fine but it's typically a control deck (usa) card because they can afford to be so mana intensive and keep you wasting spells.

If you want to compare what a deck can do check out mine Jund ain't dead (PAX EAST)

April 6, 2015 11:15 a.m.

Nixin72 says... #16

I disagree that Batterskull is for control. In pro tour FRF, batterskull won the abzan mirror. it also kills burn and other aggro decks because its so hard for them to kill it. with 22 land and birds, I should be fine to play it.

And as for stormbreath, that's a valid point, but I don't see much control in my meta. No one around here likes control :P

I've actually seen your jund deck before many times when you've deck cycled. I want to build an aggro jund.

I am pretty sure that if you can not put a +1/+1 counter on an opponents creature because they have none means you still have to sacrifice Sheltering Ancient as you can't pay its costs.

Yes, I recently discovered this as well... Never got around to updating the list, Thank you for reminding me :)

Have you taken this to any tournament, and how does it do because im interested in making a modern naya aggro?

June 6, 2015 3:04 p.m.

Nixin72 says... #20

I'm actually still working on putting together this list. I've played it online and it's worked very well and I have played a a couple games with a proxy version and it works very well so far, but I'd highly recommend testin it online. There's a site call untap.in that I use and it's very very good. You can post any deck and play whatever format others are interested in playing. Unfortunately you can only have 3 decks at a time, but it's very good for playtesting.

To answer your question in short: I have never taken this exact decklist to a tournament. However, I have played it online and it works very well.

Jamesfurrow says... #21

Id like to ask what decks have you playtested agaisnt? And if they were what would be teir 1 versions of the lists or weaker but very competitive versions that also can't afford GOYF like cards. Cause I test this agaisnt my jund, abzan, and delver deck and this deck has a tough time agaisnt them for these reasons

1 jund/abzan have to much removal and ways of sustaining themselves

  1. Delver just keeps the burn comming
June 6, 2015 7:19 p.m.

Nixin72 says... #22

UrzaTron, twin, Abzan, a lot of vengvine decks. You often don't see tier 1 decks on untap.in, so granted a lot of my playtesting is against tier 1.5/tier 2 or jank. But Tron, twin and Abzan are what I've played against most in terms of the more competitive decks. What tier is tron currently considered?

So this is the Zoo deck then?

July 24, 2015 12:54 p.m.

Nixin72 says... #24

This is one iteration. It's change many many times since I've posted this deck.

July 24, 2015 11:26 p.m.

Dorotheus says... #25

Well there is little Zoo and value Zoo, I would say this is going more for little Zoo, but is missing cards like Kird Ape and Loam Lion which are staples in the deck, and I also assume you already know that. Swiftspear could have a place, but I think an actual burn deck that just happens to have Wild Nacatl is what you miiiight be trying to get at, since you do have far more spells than creatures.

It completely depends on how you want your game to play out, and how you want the deck to run. After that I can give tips to streamline.

Either way however, 3x Destructive Revelry should be in the sideboard and cards that are hatebears are always options, so like instead of Stony Silence, use Kataki, War's Wage.
