I actually really like Immolating Souleater and hadn't considered it. I will definitely test it. Thanks, steele000 and wcdorrell! And jnmc2013, I have been having some trouble with the Tectonic Edge s limiting my colored mana, so I might take those out. I have like how Vault of the Archangel performs as a 1-of. It's kind of goofy and fun and works with Ranger of Eos if I'm down. I can gain 22 life or so (have in the past), clear away blockers, and follow up with another Death's Shadow and a Hex Parasite .

Love it! Well thought out. And you are absolutely right . Your opponent not having a clue what you're doing is a HUGE advantage. They don't know what to react to and what not to :) information is power in this game; and they have none . Great deck! +1 of course .

will you have time for multiple Thoughtseize if youre playing against burn with more than two removal cards?

SphinxOfChimes1080, I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand the question.

He saying if you're playing burn, your strategy helps theirs so will you really be able to Thoughtseize away their burn spells in time?

I imagine you'd just rely on Faith's Shield and Angel's Grace at that point. Burn is a two way street: It also helps this strategy. You could just use your Plunge into Darkness or whatever to dig for Grace/Shield and use those to keep yourself alive until your shadow wins it for you.

Outstanding! Have you considered Second Sunrise etc. vs mass removal? Though this gold fishes fast so maybe unnecessary. I'm also a fan of Dawn Charm for protecting my stuff or http://static.tappedout.net/concept-cards/mse-set-2012-11-25-Cover of Night_4_medium.jpgCover of Night vs anyone who relies on blocking to stay alive. Opportunity cost, I guess. Great exploit of Fateful Hour!!

Ooh, very sorry not Cover of Night, meant to say Cover of Darkness

Unfortunately, justawhiteguy, that's not Modern-legal. Second Sunrise can mess with the speed of the deck. Faith's Shield serves two of the purposes that Dawn Charm does, and Angel's Grace does the last one. That said, Dawn Charm does have a nice versatility and I'll try it out.

Second Sunrise is banned in Modern

Haha, that too. For other reasons, though.

My fault for not being thorough. Maybe you can take a look at my Chromatitan. I could use an experienced opinion...

I am pretty goofy and added an upvote just because I was impressed with the quality of the description :)

Khanye, I like those cards (Moltensteel Dragon + True Conviction is so much fun!) but they're a bit slow for the deck. I can't drop Moltensteel Dragon until turn 4, and it doesn't offer as much value as Ranger of Eos , my other four drop. Even that card is a bit over curve, which is why I only have two. Sunhome, Fortress of the Legion would require me to run red mana, which would make my mana base shakier and less consistent. Thanks for the suggestions!

I have to question the inclusion of Suppression Field in the SB

Suppression Field makes ALL abilities cost 2 more to play, even your parasites and spellskites. Wouldn't that basically shut down your entire deck?

I must say, ElPared, that you are completely right. I usually slip one or two in there to hate on Pod and Twin. Didn't even consider that. Thanks :)

any time prof. Oh, and if you want I'd like to hear your input on my version of this deck. It's more or less the same, but still:

Hi, I'm Caleb, I like to cut myself...

Death's Shadow is one of my favorite cards, so I'm always looking for ways to play it without resorting to Varolz, the Scar-Striped , or dying to Lightning Bolt in 80% of the games I play
