My friend runs blighty so I cant steal his thunder. As for the eldrazi... Ive never felt playing them was satisfying. I feel like Wurmcoil Engine 's lifegain offsets the life balances perfectly and you could say the same with Platinum Emperion .

Rakdos decks are so much fun. This one is no exception.

Thanks, after studying other Rakdos decks and taking some of their tricks I do believe this deck is ready to be built!

what about a Blood Artist for when creatures hit the graveyard?

Blood Artist works well in the more swarmy, creature based Rakdos decks Ive seen, but I dont have enough ways to get it going for myself. Id have to rely on my opponents creatures too much so I think Ill stick to Plague Spitter .

Also I have to choose a player to damage instead of everyone taking it.

You need more life gain effects to balance out how much damage you're dealing to everyone, or you will be just as vulnerable if not more so. Things like Exquisite Blood and Exsanguinate or Blood Tithe would be good in here.

Also Death Cloud and Descent into Madness are just cool for the overall insanity feel of it all. I would think about Platinum Angel as well seeing as how the Platinum Emperion can't save you from general damage. I would run both actually.

Oh yeah, Kokusho, the Evening Star is unbanned now and would be the perfect card for a deck like this. Everyone gets hurt, and you gain a lot of life.

Awaiting Olivas final stamp of approval.

Ok lastly ( I think). I would swap the Chromatic Lantern for Darksteel Ingot or Sol Ring because you wont need as much mana fixing as a 2 color deck, but indestructibility or 2 colorless would benefit you much more.

The only reason for the lantern is to get double black and red. Its actually pretty tough to get those perfect on turn four. The lantern might be overkill though, since I have an ingot Ill try it out and see how the deck plays.

Magmatic Force seems better than Inferno Titan here. I already have an old, beat up titan; its one of the first mythics Ive ever owned. So, Ill play with it for a while and someday I might put him on the bench. Another option would be for the Furyborn Hellkite , but its just way too fun to remove. :D

what about Sanguine Bond along side Exquisite Blood?

March 10, 2013 8:05 p.m.

montazum10 says... #20

Sanguine Blood would be solely for comboing along side Exquisite Blood so Im probably not going to put it in. If I had more ways to gain life it might fit then.

Wouldn't Living Death be strictly better than Living End in this deck?

Would you consider running Mogis, God of Slaughter in this deck?

February 9, 2014 10:50 p.m.

Keevy - I wrote a little about Living Death : Living End - I prefer this over Living Death because of the suspend. This allows me to suspend it and then use the wheel in my hand, dumping any fat creatures I have for the fateful turn of reanimation. Also, I run Living Death in my Grimgrin deck so I'm keeping things fresh for me.

ender214 - I got real excited about Mogis, God of Slaughter when it was revealed, but then I read the fine print. Because the card says: on every [opponents] upkeep, I don't find him useful in activating Rakdos. Perhaps the card is still powerful enough to use as a fat creature; the devotion should not be a problem with Rakdos in play and his ability is whack.
