well i love the combo theme but there is a problem with your combo. The meta is too fast and furious with small creature aggro. The only 2 solutions is extra turn or creature shut down.
are some of your best options in these colors. I prefer sleep since it counts for 2 turns :) but fog is a classic standby. Maybe 6-8 of these and -4 creatures -2-4 spells could give you the stall needed to get by.

I'd say for this to be MORE effective, I'd add in another Gilded Lotus

Ya, I had 3 at one point, and then 2...just hard to fit everything. The lotus is the least important piece of that combo. (And my opponent could have one for me to steal). But I I have the conscripts and navigator without the lotus, I'm still in great shape

Have you considered playing card:Sphinx's Revelations and/or Cyclonic Rift s? I play a similar deck myself (deck:defender-mill-03-12-12-1) and those were always handy since you have so much mana. Gotta love Axebane Guardian s. =)
An alternative to Fog Bank s would be Angelic Wall s if you are playing against a red burn deck. Flashing in Oblivion Ring s and Detention Sphere s can be very disruptive too.
Interesting combo with the Zealous Conscripts btw. +1

I like it, but it has the inability to deal with overwhelming creatures. I would recommend Cyclonic Rift or Blasphemous Act

I love the idea but anyone with a SB Torpor Orb ends your dream of infinite combo :) though you can have decent SB cards aswell (Destructive Revelry or Ancient Grudge e.g.) and Twin is gone, I think it's still something you have to consider ;)

Oh, this was my standard deck a few years back haha, from the Innistrad/Return to Ravnica block. Sorry for any confusion.

Made the changes to my physical deck and I am getting to play FNM tonight, so I will update tonight or tomorrow on how the changes affected it.
