The original version of this deck was based on "Pauper Infinite Storm ($10 Budget OTK)" by HoboTSH back in 2018 http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/pauper-spellfist-1/

We've had a lot of sets since then. The deck is still not great, but surprisingly it has gotten better. I saw a list put up a few months ago for one that landed 5-8th place at a small tourney, and thought I'd try to iterate on it since I still had an old list that I built for pennies years ago.

Zephyr Scribe is out, it was never as good as Mirran Spy but I could never find 4 spys. They are 2 of 6 creatures now (Nettle Drone, Steelfin Whale, Blisterspit Gremlin, Kindlespark Duo) that do practically the same thing; untap when a 0-mana artifact is cast, so that we can loop it with Banishing Knack or Retraction Helix. Though each has quirks that make them better or worse for our purposes, depending on our other cards and their CMC, it's that combo plus a win-con which is what we're aiming for.

The best 0-mana artifacts to loop aren't all actually 0-mana. The best of our (currently 18, 12 that do anything) options is Tooth of Chiss-Goria, which does double-duty as a bounceable artifact and a win-condition, pumping an attacking creature for infinite damage. Lotus Petal is also an option if your budget allows, inconsistently allowing wins as early as turn 3, assuming no interaction, which is a big assumption, but aggro is the meta right now so we're more concerned with that then anything else. Any 0-mana creature is also interesting though, as it doubles as a target for Tooth of Chiss-Goria and increases our possible burn avenues (so Frogmite and Myr Enforcer are included among the 12).
