I found a turn 2 win, but it requires Concordant Crossroads

Yeah, but then we're getting out of the modern pool Prima :(. could be awesome for legacy though.

I can see what you mean hatebringer79, but if I'm comboing off Intruder Alarm alone then odds are I'm not going to have Mass Hysteria in my hand if it's a one-of. That's pretty much the only way it'd be useful. If I'm comboing off Staff of Domination the only way to prevent the win on that turn is to counter the Craterhoof Behemoth . If it dies to spot removal, I've still got some infinitely buffed up elves with trample to swing with for that turn.

Also, if I was gonna splash red, I'd just do something with Splinter Twin .

Great deck, +1. I'd suggest Drift of Phantasms as a way to make the deck more reliable by giving you an option to search the deck for the missing half of one of your winning combos. The transmute with casting cost 3 lets you grab Intruder Alarm , Presence of Gond , Staff of Domination or Elvish Archdruid . Most other tutor cards would only let you grab creatures, artifacts or whatever. The other transmute cards either aren't casting cost 3 or aren't Green/Blue.

Good suggestion with the Drift of Phantasms , DaV01d. I actually have already done some testing with it prior to your comment. The real issue lies in consistently pulling 2U to cast it, as well as the fact I'd have to take out my "Gas" cards for my devotion/elves combo off the staff.

I've typed a few paragraphs and backspaced the shit out of them 'cause I'm finding this difficult to explain. Long story short, it doesn't give me devotion, an extra elf for Elvish Archdruid 's combo, and it doesn't draw me any free cards. On that note, it's literally the only tutor that could ever work in this deck 'cause of how many pieces of the combo are 3CMC. That alone almost warrants its inclusion, but I still couldn't seem to find the room for it. I tried and tried.

I'd recommend giving it a few playtests so you can see what I mean. The gas I'm provided via Elvish Visionary , Coiling Oracle and Staff of Domination are just amazing.

I hope I've done a decent job of explaining. It's one of the best suggestions this deck has received for sure, it's just really difficult to work with the mainboard.

I like the deck! It seems like it can be quite hard to get the Intruder Alarm , the key piece to your proverbial puzzle, on occasion....I would suggest Drift of Phantasms for the transmute ability, as a 0/5 flying blocker can work wonders, but to also search out a key piece to your combo as-well? would be very nice...

You already have Verdant Catacombs in the deck so you could, in theory, splash the tiny bit of black for Perplex or (at a push) Dimir Machinations , which would both give you a much bigger utility over the Drift of Phantasms , but the same dual cost for them!

these cards would also let you search out Elvish Archdruid , Presence of Gond and Staff of Domination , should you have no use for the effect on the actual card!

Thanks a ton for the feedback, Pyroshade! We were actually just discussing the transmute option just above your comment.

The reason I'm not opting for it is because 2U is hard to come up with sometimes, and it takes away from the 'gas' that this deck has. Coiling Oracle , Elvish Visionary and Staff of Domination (without an infinite combo, of course) are all great gas-engines to help me pull whatever pieces I may be missing. Plus, I need Devotion or Elves for my Acolyte/Archdruid combos.

The way I do my playtesting is weird - I just aim for 70-80% consistency by Turn 4. Whenever I make a change, I run about 20 tests. If I get anything less than 14 T4 wins out of those 20 tests, I scrap the change I've made.

I know this may not be the best way to playtest, but it's been efficient for me. It might even work if I went up to the 4x Verdant Catacombs for some extra mana-fixings, but in all honesty, I absolutely love where the mainboard is at right now.

Plus, if I get too deep in non-basic lands, I can also run the risk of being an easy hose for Blood Moon or Surgical Extraction .

I think the Transmute thing can definitely be done, it's just not what I'm looking for with this particular version of the deck. If I was on a control shell instead of elves it might work, for example. It may even be a good sideboard option in case someone starts yanking out combo pieces via Surgical Extraction , Extirpate , etc. I'm gonna be testing it vs control heavy builds eventually.

Great deck man +1 from me. I love the idea of infinite creatures, it's one of the reasons why I love the game. I will definitely be putting the Staff of Domination + Elvish Archdruid combo to work in my elf/wolf deck The Wolf Pack. If you wouldn't mind checking it out and letting me know what you think about it. It currently is 70 cards and I'm trying to figure out how to slim it back to 60.

I still love this deck soo much, and have been thinking about it for days now ><

what are your thoughts on Aura of Dominion ? seems like it can fit well, seeing as your tokens don't have haste, and you have lots of ramp, this seems like and 'almost infinite' that could see a win earlier, plus with Elvish Archdruid would help you ramp!Could be hard to cast early, though you doo have 10 lands(6 fetchs for the 4 pools) that get you blue, plus the Arbor Elf and you could swap that single lone Elvish Mystic for Viridian Acolyte or something to help cast, but idk "/

Also, for the affinity match up, would Hurkyl's Recall or Retract be any good? Cast them when they attack with their artifact manlands, and bounce everything to hand, causing them to discard, and the slow process of them having to play the lands etc all over again! Plus it skirts around the artifact indestructible land

I just realized that in my Intruder Alarm + Presence of Gond deck, that Oran-Rief, the Vastwood works nicely. Using Kiora's Follower to untap it is also nice.

no Caligula u super n00b u cnt touch dis pro skillz deckerino

And nice, Ballzanya. Glad it works for you. If I got caught with only that land in my hand i could get kind of screwed though. It already happens sometimes with Nykthos. Kiora's follower works well with Nykthos as well, I just don't think I'd want that in my mainboard tbh.

And Hurkyl's Recall could definitely do some work against affinity, Pyroshade. I've got Creeping Corrosion and Nature's Claim in the sideboard for that match up too though.

I'll definitely take a look at your deck, Jubzart. Sometime later today or tomorrow guaranteed. :)

Oh, and earlier in my comments I said it had 70-80% consistency of winning by Turn 4, I actually meant turn 5. I wasn't thinking when I wrote that. It's waaaaaay up in the comments now though.

Hey, The_Wolf_Pack sorry for the late comment. I had Oran Rief but it got me manascrewed a few times for my fast-combo. I can sometimes combo off one land, so having that in is a pain for me. Thanks though!
