Well, with MM2 coming out I decided to do a bit of work on the deck. Got some cards that I used for trade fodder.

Pact of Negation is fantastic in the sideboard, 'cause when they try to respond to your combo you can shut them down. The mana is not an issue as you are either winning the turn you play it, or you have an infinite mana combo available. It could end badly, but that would very rarely happen. You usually have 2U and 3 colorless available by turn 4 anyways.

Testing out ways that I can thin out the deck more. Coiling Oracle and Elvish Visionary do it quite well because it gives me some bodies and elves for the combo. I tried using Drift of Phantasms but I found it's hard to cut down on elves. Makes my combos inconsistent.

If anyone has any ideas as to how I could thin the deck without cutting elves or combo pieces, I'd be happy to listen.

I was thinking about trying out Imperious Perfect or Drift of Phantasms again, but I don't know where I'd put it. halp plx

Nice!

My own infinite combo ran something like this:

  1. Forest, Arbor Elf
  2. Island, Kiora's Follower, Arbor Elf
  3. Forest, Market Festival, Pemmin's Aura attached to Kiora's Follower, tap for infinite

I'll have to upload it sometime...

That does sound like an interesting combo, Ucenna. You should definitely upload it. I'm sure a lot of people would like it.

Why isn't Freed from the Real in there for turn 2 infinite mana

Guess I will!
Here's arough draft, that I took the liberty of fixing up with cards not currently in my collection:
Tada!
I'm fairly certain this is intended as a modern legal deck. As it where, Freed from the Real is, unfortunately, pre-modern.

Freed from the Real is modern legal. I don't run it because infinite mana isn't useful unless you have a Staff of Domination to accompany it. You'd have to either have the staff in your hand, or draw into it with Drift of Phantasms or the visionaries/coiling oracles.

It would be pretty cool to have a turn 2 win, it just sacrifices a lot of the deck's consistency to do so.

I like your list, by the way.

I love your deck because if love people who think of Magic such as I do. Deck buidling and giving any shit about the comment: That's not Modern competitive.

Haha, thank you. I didn't start out with the intention of this being a competitive deck, but it's shaped up quite nicely over the past year. I haven't brought it to any tourneys or anything, but I feel like it would preform half-decently if I did.

I really, really want to, but I'm missing a lot of the sideboard cards and a couple of fetch lands still.

Gotta invest a bit more money before I can. :P About 150$ worth.

Thraben Doomsayer also combos infinitely with Intruder Alarm.

Pithing Needle might be worth considering in your sideboard here, as well.
