Thanks for reminding me of Rage Thrower! You were right about him not fitting into the curve, but honestly he could probably fit into my sb as an alternate win condition. Maybe even a 1-of in main deck seeing as he will most likely be reanimated anyways.
You didn't +1 though. ;]

Haha no problem. And thanks for reminding me to actually +1. I believe in giving them where they are deserved. Good luck with the deck and keep it updated, I'm interested to see how it performs.

I love it! ...Just wish the land base wasn't so expensive, it's like 80% of this deck's cost.

Manic Vandal for those pesky cages btw...also is there no better alternative to the Zombie Infestation?
and here's your +1 :D

Dude this is sick. Never would have thought of this. Soooo good +1
May 12, 2012 3:04 p.m.
Manic Vandal is def. going in the sb.. I dropped the Zombie Infestations for Dangerous Wagers to help dig a little deeper
And yes i will definitely be running this at an FNM in the near future lol
thx for the input!

Sun Titan also combos with the Fiend Hunters btw...it can't really compare with the angel though...

Try Blood Artist or Falkenrath Noble to bring the pain, for less mana than Rage Thrower

What about Vigilante Justice?
Blood Artist is probably better, but is easier to remove.
May 12, 2012 6:10 p.m.
There are lots of vampires that could help speed up and increase the potence of the deck. Bloodflow Connoisseur is able to give you a second infinite combo in case the 1st isnt drawn; the same is true of Falkenrath Torturer, in addition Havengul Vampire buffs along with the combo without taking away from it.
May 12, 2012 7:23 p.m.
My only problem with all the vampires is they aren't reanimated by the angel..
I think dropping humans for vampires will clout a lot of the potency and consistency of the deck, while not bringing enough to the table as far as win conditions. The main reason Falkenrath Aristocrat was chosen over the others was for the haste keyword, allowing me to end the game then and there (with no blockers on the board thx to Zealous Conscripts and Fiend Hunter).
I added direct damage in the form of Kessig Malcontents. They're human, and add an infinite damage loop into the mix.
My biggest concern is Surgical Extraction seeing as it's a lynch-pin deck that plays from the graveyard. Anyone have a postboard answer for that??

The best thing against Surgical Extraction in standard is probably Mental Misstep to counter it or Distress to discard it.
May 12, 2012 10:03 p.m.
Umm...back to the haste thing...you HAVE noticed that you can just give ALL of your guys haste with Zealous Conscripts, right?...right?
May 12, 2012 11:45 p.m.
Sigh.. yeah I had a feeling it was going to come down to Mental Misstep.. lol
I actualy didn't realize that bullgaria. Thanks for the tip!

Nihil Spellbomb will also cause you problems. I might just dedicate the sideboard to protecting your graveyard.
May 13, 2012 3:21 a.m.
You could use Purify the Grave or Noxious Revival to help against Surgical Extraction. when they target a card in ur grave just remove it with one of the cards I mentioned.

I absolutely LOVE this deck! +1 for sure!
My goal on this profile is to make a fun deck for each rare/mythic in each set, starting with Avacyn Restored. Would you mind if I used this as my deck for Angel of Glory's Rise?
May 13, 2012 11:55 a.m.
If your angel brings back three Fiend Hunters then they can cyclicly exile each other in an infinite combo which would be pretty funny if you had a Goldnight Commander or a Vigilante Justice on the field.

Deck looks like a lot of fun, but guarantee'd you'll see tons of graveyard hate hitting for post-board.
My advise personally wouldn't be to get gy protection for the post-board game. I would attempt to remove all the Unburial Rites for small creatures which can turn the deck simply into a mid-range aggro deck.
You have 14 cards dedicated to filtering your hand to your graveyard. Turn those into creatures that are easy to cast and have large effect on the board. Or other spells that just break the creatures you already have there.
Cloudshift as an example. Use the Zealous Conscripts to steal a creature and Cloudshift to control it permenantly.
Hopefully I've given you some thought on the concept. :)

@hardRAWKR- I know Nihil Spellbomb is a threat, but it has far more options as far as answers. (i.e., Crush, Manic Vandal, etc)
@Shane- I LOVE the Purify the Grave idea. With it having flashback, I can ditch it without fear. Thanks for that!
@RareLaboratory- Go right ahead bro. Glad you like it!
@safearus- The sb flip idea is a good one, but I'm not sure if 14 cards is enough to turn it into a viable aggro deck. It may be hard to do with the sketchy manabase I have right now. Especially seeing as the reason the mana base works is the filtering cards like Faithless Looting. But you for sure got my brewing juices flowing with that idea. I'll play around with some other humans and see if I can't make it work somehow.
Thanks to everyone that has posted and +1'd this deck. I went to bed last night with a score of 5 and woke up to a 32!! I'm stoked you guys are enjoying it as much as I am.

Cool deck. I like the utility of the creatures you are using to sac to Falkenrath Aristocrat. The only thing I can think of is maybe finding some cards that cause damage when creatures are sac'd like Rage Thrower. I doubt he would fit into your curve, but a thought.
