Needs a few GhoulfleshMTG Card: Ghoulflesh. Lets you exile a titan or two if they don't have any zombies. Makes having a horde of humans just a little more awesome.

Well, in all reality you'd be changing 15 cards most likely. Just drop one or two expensive creatures with the hand filtering into the sb.

Also, when making those switches the key to working around the mana issue is more or less to switch in creatures that match mana costs with the spells you're kicking out.

I understand that is not always possible, but get them as close as you can, and the manabase should be stable enough to support it.

Examples: Faithless LootingMTG Card: Faithless Looting switches well for Vexing DevilMTG Card: Vexing Devil

Shattered PerceptionMTG Card: Shattered Perception can be replaced with something like Kruin StrikerMTG Card: Kruin Striker or Fervent CatharMTG Card: Fervent Cathar

Happy Brewing!!

Seems to me that FlingMTG Card: Fling might need to find room for. Once you get the combo going it gives you a change to throw the Aristocrat into face.

Very cool. From what I see it is turn 8 win. I am going to try it.

I love the idea of the deck. I am running a different version of a Frites style deck myself but this deck seems a little slow to come out. If you want suggestions for a sideboard I would say to try and create one that would help your deck to come out faster. Just a suggestion.

thebeardedshuffler,

FlingMTG Card: Fling might be less desirable than Essence HarvestMTG Card: Essence Harvest due to the sacrifice being put into the cost. Meaning you pay your mana, pay your sacrifice fee, then you risk an interrupt after having sac'ed your big guy.

Also, NevermoreMTG Card: Nevermore could be your solution to Surgical ExtractionMTG Card: Surgical Extraction and any other problems you run into. Sideboard two of those.

What about Infernal PlungeMTG Card: Infernal Plunge? You could use it to possibly put Falkenrath AristocratMTG Card: Falkenrath Aristocrat on the battlefield on turn two. Thats pretty cool. I dont know if thats something you would want to do but i thought id put in my 1 cent.

Sweet deck though. +1!

If the opponent is really hammering on your Unburial Rites you could always sideboard Defy Death in. You lose the flashback, but you get a 5/7 Angel of Glory's Rise.

May 14, 2012 3:34 a.m.

TGS I see your point. But then both have their drawbacks I guess. Harvest is sorcery and can't target creatures, so you can't use it as spot removal in a pinch, or dig for it in their turn with a looting flashback and cast it to steal victory from the jaws of defeat.

I guess it's down to personal preference, but for spot removal I'd take FlingMTG Card: Fling over the Essence HarvestMTG Card: Essence Harvest.

After playtesting a bunch.

I think you need another sacoutlet. Mainly one that that cost less mana.

Maybe something that isnt as powerful as Falkenrath AristocratMTG Card: Falkenrath Aristocrat but cheap.

I say add in 2x or 3x Falkenrath TorturerMTG Card: Falkenrath Torturer or Bloodflow ConnoisseurMTG Card: Bloodflow Connoisseur and take out Shattered PerceptionMTG Card: Shattered Perception or Dangerous WagerMTG Card: Dangerous Wager.

The card I thought of was Blood ArtistMTG Card: Blood Artist when I saw this deck, but then I realized he wasn't a human... +1 anyway

I'd suggest NevermoreMTG Card: Nevermore maybe even more than two of them, first for a higher percentage chance of drawing it, and secondly, you can ALWAYS name another card that you dont want your opponent to draw.

Sick combo, I like it.

May 16, 2012 4:02 a.m.

im going to try this at my fnm. My version uses 2x Tibalt, the Fiend-BloodedMTG Card: Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded for the extra card draw and 1x Reforge the SoulMTG Card: Reforge the Soul.

May 16, 2012 9:47 a.m.

i also just realized that Sun TitanMTG Card: Sun Titan can give you the same effect just for your fiend hunter

Blood ArtistMTG Card: Blood Artist may be easy to remove, but if you hit the combo its death without having to worry about the swing, plus they are cheaper than Kessig MalcontentsMTG Card: Kessig Malcontents. I also think Reforge the SoulMTG Card: Reforge the Soul would be better than Shattered PerceptionMTG Card: Shattered Perception and Dangerous WagerMTG Card: Dangerous Wager might be better than Faithless LootingMTG Card: Faithless Looting. With Champion of the ParishMTG Card: Champion of the Parish or Village CannibalsMTG Card: Village Cannibals you can double your giant monsters also... just a couple thoughts.

What if oyu used some Infernal PlungeMTG Card: Infernal Plunge to give you a little ramp and another sac outlet? It would get things moving faster and allow you to sac a creature.

I would consider dropping at least a couple of your late game cards to make room for or sideboarding in Timely ReinforcementsMTG Card: Timely Reinforcements since that will provide you extra life gain and chump blockers to help you stall until you can get your combo pieces in play.

Great Deck by the way, so a big ol' +1 from me. For ways to protect your graveyard, if necessary, there is Stony SilenceMTG Card: Stony Silence to counter Nihil SpellbombMTG Card: Nihil Spellbomb and Noxious Revival MTG Card: Noxious Revival for Surgical ExtractionMTG Card: Surgical Extraction!? Leonin ArbiterMTG Card: Leonin Arbiter could cause problems for Surgical ExtractionMTG Card: Surgical Extraction but isn't a sure thing to protect from it, only slow your opponent down. Hope this helps and well done :)

Solid maindeck list!! nice job! As for sideboard i suggest 4 Tragic SlipMTG Card: Tragic Slip (vs indestructible creatures, especially vs Avacyn, Angel of Hope MTG Card: Avacyn, Angel of Hope ), 2-4 Nihil SpellbombMTG Card: Nihil Spellbomb vs other reanimator decks, 2-4 Curse of ExhaustionMTG Card: Curse of Exhaustion.Other usefull cards like previous guys mentioned are Stony SilenceMTG Card: Stony Silence, NevermoreMTG Card: Nevermore and Timely ReinforcementsMTG Card: Timely Reinforcements instead of Lingering SoulsMTG Card: Lingering Souls.. Try adding to your manabase some Vault of the ArchangelMTG Card: Vault of the Archangel for more sustainability (if you skip Timely ReinforcementsMTG Card: Timely Reinforcements) and Cavern of SoulsMTG Card: Cavern of Souls vs counterspells on Falkenrath AristocratMTG Card: Falkenrath Aristocrat or Angel of Glory's RiseMTG Card: Angel of Glory's Rise

Hey man!!! This DECK LOOKS SICKK!!!!! I hope you don't mind if I take a similar concept and put it in a deck of my own . I'll probably be going with different colors though. I've tried Shattered PerceptionMTG Card: Shattered Perception in decks and honestly I'm just not a fan. I would suggest replacing some/all of them with Reforge the SoulMTG Card: Reforge the Soul since its guaranteed to fill up your hand though unfortunately it fills up your opponents too :/ I'll send you a link to my version when I get it to a point where I like . Thanks for the awesome Idea!
