@Ohthenoises, do you have any suggestions on how to work in Strata Scythe as the deck is constructed right now?

shrine seems a bit out of place but that's all I can see

I'd take out Sever the Bloodline for the scythe. Unless you really need to exile something instead of sending it to the gy, you have better removal.

I would also take out the Shrine of Limitless Power for Throne of Geth. The shrine's too slow, and the throne can potentially get each opponent 10% closer to death each turn on it's own.

@Ohthenoises, hmm... I kinda like the shrine, because it's instant hand removal if left unchecked.

also like i said before if you add throne of geth i would definitely look at adding Pentavus for a 1 mana proliferate.
March 5, 2012 10:44 p.m.
@hunter9000, Sever the Bloodline stays. I like it, because it's creature kill with added flashback. I do like your Throne of Geth suggestion. Decisions, decisions...
March 5, 2012 10:45 p.m.
Took out Shrine of Limitless Power for Strata Scythe. On second look, the shrine just seemed like an almost worse Monomania, which I already have in the deck.
On Throne of Geth... I have two proliferating artifact cards in the deck already and I like all of my artifacts, I don't want to be sacrificing them... =/

I know what you mean about not wanting to lose your artifacts, but remember that for each artifact you sac, you're getting another poison counter on your opponents and you only need 10 to win. I run 3 in my standard infect deck, it's almost always a good trade.
With Core Prowler it gives you 2 proliferates, Corpse Cur gives you a creature back from your gy, Necropede gives something 2 -1/-1 counters instead of 1. And if any of your other artifacts are going to die, sac them in response and turn them into a free poison counter.

@hunter9000 well Corpse Cur is ETB not leave the battlefield but i agree with everything else here.

Expedition Map finds Inkmoth Nexus and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth. Also, y u no Sol Ring?
March 6, 2012 12:31 p.m.
@zandl, figured I have enough search with all the tutors and Increasing Ambition and Sol Ring seems like a good addition, but I don't have a lot of mana dump for late game to make it useful. Do you think it's necessary?
March 6, 2012 1:15 p.m.
You could add some mana dump. Black Sun's Zenith, Dregs of Sorrow, Exsanguinate, Postmortem Lunge, Profane Command, and Stir the Grave are all decent choices.
March 6, 2012 1:23 p.m.
@zandl, seems like good choices, I'll see if I can work them in. On a side note, what do you think about Mind Shatter replacing Monomania in the deck?
March 6, 2012 1:27 p.m.
I agree with everyone with the Throne of Geth. I used to run a B/W Tempered Infect deck, and the Throne helped me get that extra counter in, even if you wanted your creatures. It really just helps getting that extra reach.
Not to mention, you can sac the Throne for that last counter to win. Something people forget that let me win many games. Lol

Great deck, infect is gonna be an interesting thing to play in EDH, i would definitely suggest Hatred because it can give you a one hit win as long as you use it at the right time, i've used it myself with infect and found it to be quite helpful. +1!
March 6, 2012 7:14 p.m.
I'll start by saying that Dark Ritual is not really an EDH card. Tempo cards and one-for-one removal is generally not the best for EDH either. As I see it, this deck seems like it will be able to kill 1-2 players, but when everyone's defenses are up, the relatively weak creature lineup will really kill you.
I don't have a solution, because infect is a keyword that only spans 1 block, so there's not too much card choice. I'd add Sheoldred, Whispering One. It's pretty much insane in any deck running black. Phyrexian Obliterator and Gauntlet of Power also work.
Also, at least 4 pieces of graveyard hate. You really don't want people bringing back 5 Eldrazi or recasting Tooth and Nail seven times in a row. That's all I've got. Good luck on your deck.
March 6, 2012 7:25 p.m.
@None, I partially agree with you on the one-for-one creature kill cards. In the big picture of things, such cards don't seem to make much sense; however, black is a selfish color and the only reason I'm playing a relatively large quantity of such cards is to protect myself when I'm the one being attacked.
Thanks for your insight, I'm going to try to tweak in some of your suggestions.

Skittles EDH like I said.. needs some tweaking but is still fun.

i have a similar edh deck and it works great, although i might make a few changes now. +1

Considering the number of artifacts you're running, I'd suggest Skeleton Shard.

as much as i like this deck, i would say that skittle's is a bad commander. The Mimeoplasm would open you up to a lot more options for infect. and he can come in as a copy of something with infect and then gain a bunch of counters from another creature.
it's just a thought

id run both but you play with it and see what works.
