Take a bunch of shitty cards, 6 of which are birds whose job it is to continuously shit all over the graveyard, and what do you have? A $23 budget deck appropriately dubbed BirdShit!

Skaab Ruinator in this build, however, is definitely not shit. When the goal is to just find ruinator, and that is usually the goal, screeching skaab becomes a 2cc 2/1 that draws 2 cards, armored skaab a 3cc 1/4 that draws 4 cards etc. ... The deck can live the dream off a t1 thought scour, t2 screeching skaab that dumps 3 creatures in the 'yard for the t3 mahomotti djinn. just like back in the day when we simply ran a sol ring and 4 mana vaults.

the small removal package works since it all has flashback. and, while extremely gay, the grasp of phantoms can combo with mindshrieker for big damage plus removal. ... it's a lot of fun for a little over half the price of a single copy of bonfire of the damned.

small tweak: had to drop a stitched drake for an armored skaab, too many dead hands with ruinators, maulers, and drakes all hungry to eat a creature from the graveyard but nothing there. hate to run walls, which essentially is what the armored zombie is, but digging four cards deep is always good in this deck.
