Happymaster19 All the other clerics don't really attack because they are exiling creatures, hense why there's no Path to Exiles in the deck. So The captain gives you something to chump or buff and attack with.

I feel like Brimaz, King of Oreskos would be nasty with Honor of the Pure as the buffed token also gets damage in as opposed to after.

Why not 4 Fiend Hunter? I know that's can be rare but... you can use Restoration Angel in response of Fiend Hunter exile, making a permanent exile.

You know that the exiled card from the Fiend Hunter-Ability comes back when he leaves the Battlefield, don't you? When he get exiled, the exiled card from his effect will return.
But what you can do is to exile Fiend Hunter with Restoration Angel or Cloudshift if you think, your enemy has set up a far dangerous card than the exiled in the first place.

@vincilios I know about this interaction and do not think it important enough to play 4 Fiend Hunters, because I like the stats on Banisher Priest more.
@Xenkay Actually, if you play Fiend Hunter and Oblivion Ring the right way, it can enable you to permanent exile something with the help of a bounce effect like Restoration Angel, Flickerwisp and Eldrazi Displacer. The source is that the exile effect of Fiend Hunter is split into two parts. By stacking it the right way, you can use the exile trigger first and bounce him back, before the second trigger, that gets the exiled thing bck onto the battlefield, triggers. Just google Flickerwisp + Oblivion Ring interaction.

This deck looks really cool, and affordable! I love the theme and synergy. One thing I would like to recommend is Path to Exile if you wanna increase the price by a little bit.

@Duuland - This deck is several years old by now and is still assembled and doing well in casual kitchen-table matches with my friends. Most of the time in Multiplayer. Path to Exile was not included, because it is too pricey (I own the FNM version eight times), but because this is a 'feel bad' - card.
It is too cheap, too fast and actually not good enough for multiplayer (say what?!). My playgroup is dominated by Planeswalkers, Artifacts and Enchantments. Oblivion Ring becomes the obvious choice in this scenario and also contributes, because it creates the feeling in the opponent, that they 'could deal with it'.
Thanks for your apprecation and advice. Sadly, this deck is basically set in stone and will propably never change more than the four flex spots currently taken by Spirit of the Labyrinth. You may want to look at an upcoming deck from me though, that will be centered around Angel of Condemnation.

Do not feel hindered to shamelessly advertise your deck here in the comments when finished!
