i like the theme of this alot. Personally i'd ditch the Silver-Inlaid Dagger altogether for MB the Mana Leak. I might also take out the 2 SB Blasphemous Act s to add Executioner's Hood. Might add some synergy to your unblockable pump. +1 for sure

I like the Executioner's Hood idea a lot, thanks for the suggestion and the +1, i try it out.

haha yea i know, ive gotten some ridiculous combos out that that and two curses with Markov Blademaster... it becomes a 7/7 after one landed hit hahaha

I'm loving the combo of Curse of Stalked Prey with Curse of Death's Hold in my Vampire deck: deck:preying-death.

I REALLY like the deck, heck I made one of these in January, but i found it just wasn't competitive enough, maybe because I didn't focus all my best creatures into it, but can you let me know if this build is working for you on the competitive side as opposed to casual?
March 13, 2012 3:14 a.m.
Also Fling wins games with this deck. no joke the only time i would ever win with this type of deck was when i swung with a Thrummingbird with a good load of +1/+1 on it, I think my record was flinging a 13/13 creature of some sort, no clue how I got it that high without them dying first, but it was pretty epic when it happened lol

Used this as a test for the deck I am working on. I found that I liked this deck and the synergy that goes with it. I am iffy on the delver as well, as through out testing, including trying to use ponder to push the advantage, I never once got a Delver flip, and I tested this deck probably a couple dozen times (I do multiple runs when I am testing my own, as you need to look for odd hands, especially with this program's less than desirable algorithm).
I do like the blademaster. It is susceptible to the little blasts, but I found that getting it out at the same time, or a turn before I dropped something like a curse, to ensure it pumped up quickly, helped make it a better board presence. Thrumming Bird just makes everything ridiculous, and that is just awesome.
Given that you run a fair amount of vampires, perhaps give Rakish Heir a trial run? He'll pump himself, as well as the other vampires, and could just make these vampires that much more of a problem.
Otherwise, nice deck. +1

Assault Strobe is worth it in this deck. Sure, it's a sorcery, but if you know they can't block, it's ridiculous. That could mean double proliferate on a Thrummingbird, which is 4 counters on him alone.
March 13, 2012 9:41 a.m.
@Bboytse i'll take a look at the and have been for awhile, the only advantage I like about it is that it flips to a flier which helps my deck a lot, but your right in the fact that he does not flip much, I am defiantly taking into consideration your Rakish Heir but my only drawback to him is his cost.. I would be replacing a one drop for a three drop this could severely hurt my early game build up, but i will test it and find out, thank you for the suggestion!
@tikishades, Assault Strobe is an awesome suggestion I am defiantly considering putting it in my deck, if there is a curse on my opponent it is such a clutch card to play. Thanks a lot!

Hero of Oxid Ridge would also be a nice creature that helps against token decks. You might prefer it over Blasphemous Act in the mainboard so you have more creatures. Don't see a reason for Act in the mainboard.
March 14, 2012 11:53 a.m.
I'll take a look at Hero of Oxid Ridge i don't see too much tolken play in my area so it might not be too useful for me but i'll still take a look. An i like Blasphemous Act because it usually ends up being a pretty cheap board wipe and comes in handy at crucial moments for me. Thanks for the suggestion, ill take a look at what you said.

All the proliferate is great with planeswalkers (thinking Chandra, the Firebrand here) and Lux Cannon, and maybe even Chimeric Mass. Another idea is Contagion Clasp and its bigger cousin Contagion Engine, although the latter is obviously too costly in an aggro deck.
March 18, 2012 2:08 p.m.
Yea I know the proliferate works well with planeswalkers but no planeswalker has good synergy with this deck. I like your idea of Lux Cannon and maybe Chimeric Mass although Im not to sure how much room I have for those cards, thank you for your comment I'll take a look at what your saying.

Maybe i'm strange but why not playing a little friend of mine called like from my deck deck:blue-red-ludevic-control. Cuz if u enter it then you are able to proliferate u could get a 13/13 trample while they must respond to your others creatures that are getting bigger at the same time. And im glad i saw ur deck it gave me good idea how to improve my own deck. +1 from me.
March 20, 2012 6:58 p.m.
I actually like your idea a lot and will probably throw a couple in my deck and try it out, i dont know if it will flip as often as you think but i like the thought a lot, thanks for the comment and the idea.

Even if it doesn't flip; it's kind of like throwing a planeswalker out. It is just another target your opponent has to deal with. So they Doom Blade or Oblivion Ring him, instead of your "measly" 6/7 Thrummingbird. It's about the only reason i play him.
March 22, 2012 7:33 p.m.
Yea I gotcha, hes had some pretty good play tests so far but im not 100% sure yet

will more likely make control decks hold onto a single removal for when he hits 4 counters. If you quickly get out a Thrummingbird, that will become the main priority target, which could allow one of your other guys to get through.
He sort of works like Leonin Arbiter. Many decks hate it, and are forced to use removal on it so they can run their deck at normal speeds.
I think it's a worthy sideboard against an aggro-control deck (like a midrange deck) that doesn't have a lot of creature removal, and hopes blockers will do the trick. It forces them to make tough decisions.

Seems like heaps of fun to play. Tempting to build due to how cheap all the cards are :3
March 27, 2012 8:15 p.m.
have you thought about precursor golem at all, as like a big finisher? back in the zendikar block the R/U precursor distortion strike deck was a lot of fun to play, and seeing as how you have a good majority of cards that are the same. it might be in your interest to take a look at him
March 28, 2012 4:59 p.m.
i would also look at tumble magnet in your side board if your late game is hurting you. i know against U/B control you tap down a grave titan and swing through for game or even to keep them on the defense

Looking at the current state of your deck, I can't help but wonder how often you'd win if you dropped for Manabarbs???
