Sideboard

Maybeboard

Mostly the usual Legacy mono-red burn deck. Insult // Injury is thrown in for a nice finishing combo with Fireblast. The combo works around Chalice of the Void on 1 and 2, which is pretty sweet, and the aftermath on Insult is just butter on top.

The mainboard and sideboard above is what I'm currently running, and I jammed it in the side events at GP Indy. It didn't do super well against "unfair" decks like Sneak'n'Show and Reanimator, but it proved to be a really fun and competitive matchup against Czech Pile/Deathrite Shaman/Delver of Secrets   decks.

The Maybeboard is a list of things I either need to acquire or need to add to the list to optimize the list with what I'm testing online. I have Searing Blazes but they're just not good enough to jam without fetch lands to turn on instant speed landfall.

This has been the case for a while now, but I'm finally sold on 4x Goblin Guide. I think some of my initial matches were against more removal heavy matchups than I see now, and so at the time the Spark Elementals looked good. Even though I'm still not a fan of letting opponents draw lands, the reveal has proven relevant and sometimes they forget to play around Price of Progress and just run out all of their lands, and then it's just sweet. To most people this is just obvious Burn stuff, but hey, I learned it the fun way.

Other than that, I'm pretty sure that what this deck needs to push it over the top is to get some fetches, and then to replace the Skullcracks and one of the Insults with Searing Blaze (with instant speed landfall), and finally to get some Ensnaring Bridges for the sideboard.
