Oooh, ooh. Liar's Pendulum. For every bit of OP ludicrousness that Mirrodin block introduced to this game, it introduced twice that many bizzare artifacts such as this.

Steamflogger Boss one of two rigger creatures ever printed and the contraptions it mentions in the card hasn't even happened yet. I'de say that's just about the pinnacle of unusual cards. Chainer, Dementia Master the closest thing magic has to nightmare tribal. Or how about Lymph Sliver? Slivers aren't really unusual but that sliver is special because it's the only card ever printed with the absorb ability so far

I'll add Liar's Pendulum, Lymph Sliver and Chainer, Dementia Master for now.

Is Amnesia well-known? Mega-discard in blue. Telemin Performance and Helm of Obedience are similar cards that can be fun. Surely Ice Cauldron belongs here. Cast Through Time, Reincarnation, Triassic Egg, Cabal Interrogator, Adarkar Valkyrie, Pentarch Paladin, Pulsemage Advocate.

Some of these probably don't belong here, I'll throw them all out here and see what others think.

Possibility Storm, Dovescape and Unnatural Selection are too well known in my opinion.

Goatnapper is funny and in a way special, but not really good.

What about Conundrum Sphinx for the list? It might the motif? I've always thought it seemed like a pretty fun card to work with anyway.

Most people I imagine are familiar with the original Borborygmos, but Borborygmos Enraged is often a unique way of playing EDH.

You should remember your opponent can float all mana when you cast Piracy to prevent you from gaining mana, the card is very bad unless you are trying to tap all opponent's lands.

but it's still interesting and can have it's uses ;)
