The Wizard Guilds of Invasion Block were old favorite cards of mine, so I decided to dust off an old deck but convert it from a Battle of Wits deck to a Commander deck. I used as many cards from Invasion, Planeshift, and Apocalypse as I could cram into this deck, building around and including one of each of the Guildmage Discipless and Apprentices , Guildmage Masters , Battlemages , Familiars , Sanctuaries , and Volvers . I love building five-colored decks, so I might repeat this experiment with the Guildmages from Mirage . The bulk of the expensive monetary price of this deck comes from my lands, and a few foils increased it as well, but if you wanted to build this deck with cheaper lands it wouldn't suffer terribly for it (Guild Gates and Wedge Lands/Lairs come to mind).

I would love to read more stories and lore about the Mages' Guilds of Dominaria, so if anyone can point me towards some recommended reading, I would greatly appreciate it!
