Another great card from the Commander 2014 set for your deck is Comeuppance. It turns the attacks of the opponent against you into an attack on themselves.

Good call! I'm replacing the Deflecting Palm with a Comeuppance.

Considering how fast Boros decks can run out of gas, I'm less interested in one-shot cards and would prefer cards with more ongoing value. On this basis, Spark Trooper and Temur Battle Rage aren't really what I'm looking for in this deck. Similarly, Resolute Blademaster would be my only Ally, so his ability to give double strike would only ever happen once.

Akroan Crusader's less suited to this deck because I don't have any spells that target creatures... other than to destroy them. He's better suited to a deck built around targeting one's own creatures... which I did in an old Standard deck focused on the Heroic and Prowess mechanics. Soldier of the Pantheon is cool and I used to run him in here but I found the pro-multicolored wasn't a strong enough help. In the end he was just a weenie guy that got stomped in most EDH games. I'll consider him again in the future if I'm looking for more little 1-drops.

I added Raise the Alarm to increase my token count and tossed Veteran's Armaments in my maybeboard. I'd considered the armaments before but haven't seen them in play before to really see it shine.

Archetype of Courage

Odric, Master Tactician gives you unblockable or the ability to kill small creatures your opponents control if you have 4 creatures attacking

Yeah Jellosea, I've thought about Archetype of Courage in the past, but Field Marshal just seems so much better. If I ever took out something else, I might consider adding the Archetype for the added benefit of removing First Strike from my opponents' creatures.

I agree, Odric, Master Tactician is awesome! That's why I've already got him in the deck :) In fact, many years ago when this deck was mono-white, Odric used to be the commander himself - Dat ability!!

Aggravated Assault and Sword of Feast and Famine, yes this is a combo but if youre against combos just run Sword of feast and famine

Cool deck I just created one with Adriana, Captain of the Watch as my commander. I'm going to find something to cut to add Veteran Swordsmith.

Looks pretty good. I made an Iroas deck a while back. Just have a few suggestions/comments:

1. Skullclamp is cheap and powerful in a deck that generates tokens, and your curve is low enough that Bygone Bishop could be a second Mentor of the Meek.

2. Leonin Warleader is the right creature type and a redundant effect for Hero of Bladehold. I'd pick it up when core 2019 drops.

Some suggestions, have you thought about Legion's Initiative or Faith's Reward as a way to protect your creatures? Or Frontline Medic as a way to have indestructible as well as that rare occasion of countering those X spells. Hellrider for when you have a bunch of tokens and just to ping even if they block. Teferi's Protection as that doesn't get rid of your tokens and can be a 'oh shit' button.

Hope these might give you some food for thought!

This is seriously one mean deck. I was working on a deck similar to this, but this one is far more superior than any boros token deck ive come across.

This deck could use some Sword of Hearth and Home. It's ramp and an infinite combo with Aurelia, the Warleader.
